Just finished converting the castle from the top-down perspective to the new perspective.

Been working on my Zelts project and decided to update and improve the graphics. Got rid of the top-down perspective b/c it was hard to keep that perspective constantly.

Also dabbled with autotiles, and boy, do I love it!

BOO! It's been a while :) Been doing lots the past year, nothing really productive though. I started streaming on Twitch and have been trying to build my stream (427 followers :D) via streaming StarCraft 2, Hearthstone, weekly Friday giveaways. Even painted and pixeled SC2 art!

So, anyways, finally got some motivation to do something with these graphics! I never really tested the graphics out. They were all mockups, so I spent the day

transferring 90% of what I had. After today, new graphics on the way!

**3.21.12**

I wanted to say assassin, but title wouldn't allow it :( Anyways, another 3-frame attack. After doing this one, I'm pretty sure everything the work will be increased 400% bigger. It's too small for people to see.

Female assassin dual wielding iron sticks xP Enjoy. Not as good as 2-handed imo. Still a wip!

**3.20.12**

My finals are next week, so not much time for almost anything. I did manage to do a 3 frame attack animation. Not final yet, I think. I'm trying to add black outlines to the slash effect LOL. Love the black outlines! xP

It's an iron spear/medium short, I think.

**3.19.12**

Fixed and added more details. Street tiles was supposed to be fancy with a pattern of tile and no tile. It worked for the vertical path, but the horizontal path proved difficult. Also made a different view of the building, showing the narrow side. Been thinking of a name for the game, and I think I've come up with one ^^

**3.17.12**

Lots of progress today I would like to believe. Finished and animated the water fountain and have been working on a castle/city tiles. The street tiles turned out really well in my opinion. Hopefully you guys will agree that the black outlines make it cute/pop-outish/cool/awesome/etc.

I updated the tiles for the roofs since the wooden roof was too detailed compare to the old tile roofs. Tell me what you think of them.

**3.15.12**

I've already fixed the outline inconsistencies for the iron buildings, but I'll repost those when I have new iron tiles. I decided to work on roof varieties since those plain tile roofs must will bore everybody soon.

I might simplify it down since even though it is still 3 colors like the tile-roofs, it seems more detailed when zoom out. Either this, or I touch up the tile-roofs. Chimney was last second add-on :)

**3.14.12**

Hey everybody. It's been a while xD Almost a year in fact. Truthfully, I didn't do any pixeling in that amount of time. Been schooling, starcraft II-ing, lots of starcraft II-ing in fact, and now playing ME 3.

I actually lost a chunk of work for this tileset,  and MS Paint on windows 7 for my new PC didn't really motivate me. However, I get XP Paint as my default program, and I love it!

Not a lot of stuff, but this will be Iron City. I am aiming for it to look & feel like Iron City in Princess Mononoke, so the electric cables might go away lol. Colors are somewhat dark, but I like the rusty, old feeling to it. Still deciding on the door on the right.

**3.25.11**

I didn't do the perspective for the interior because I wanted to have the roof frames covering parts of the objects for effects. But I did one anyways, and it's not too bad xD. A bit more details for the bar counter, but that's about it for now. The table's perspective is off b/c I didn't edit it lol. Still no shadow, etc, etc!

**3.24.11**

A fresh change this update. Even though I saw a fresh change, the colors make it stale lol. I didn't really focus on colors this time. Instead, I just focused on getting the objects down. The brown for the tables and chairs really kill the atmosphere. I will change that in following update, perhaps lol. No shadows either :|

**3.21.11**

I've worked some more on the side poses, and it's pretty good lol. Here's another animation. Not perfect though. Just a test.

And I am still making more objects and tiles to bring maps to life. This is the most liveliness mockup until now xD Also redid the water, chopped trees, and some flowers. More variations later.

**3.18.11**

Nothing significant, but I finished doing all 12 poses for the base template.

A little animation. The shield is a bit messed up and the sword is a bit off  but overall, it works.

**2.08.11**

I've improve the trees again. I actually somewhat like these ones lol. I am going to add more buildings here later, but right now, these buildings are on the outskirts of the city gate/walls because the inhabitants here are poor/farmers. I am going to work on rich city buildings later. I did some objects to give more life to the maps like the well and logs.

Nothing really new, but I really wanted to see the graphics as a whole, not in small pieces.

Yes, the trees are still crap xD I never fixed it, but no trees here would be weird 0.0 I am also going to add more variations to them. One tree is ugly.

No bridge either! I did expand the water and edited my gate.

Just a small update. I haven't been pixeling b/c of school and stuff. I edited a cliff I already had. It turned out okay, but I'm still hesitating on the stairs. I also had to expand the width of the road b/c the perspective of the stair made it wider.

Got some motivation today from someone xD No names yet. Anyways, here's the front of the Castle although arguably, it can replace the main gate I did yesterday, but let's not argue xDDD

The saddest and grayest castle I've been seen, but it does its job :P

I didn't do much really, but I got a simple gate, some towers, and a wall down. I might add some flags later and perhaps make it, so that players can stand on top of the tower. Personally, I feel the town is empty right now because there's no scenery and objects like boxes, flowers, ladders, etc that makes a town look busy. Will add that too xD

Turns out the 16 bit graphics that I did a couple of months ago was beneficial because I took the armor and weapons and pasted on the current sprite. It was an almost perfect fit. Please, ignore the main gate! It's ugly as hell lol.

It's nothing much really, but something I do during my spare time. It's inspired by Zelda's Minish Cap. I tend to be lazy, but productive kind of person, I want want less for more xD

I'm not sure why the buildings overlap? (the roofs) Especially because the front building is shorter (Or a different perspective) than the buildings behind it because they are much longer. But the building in front (with the door) is layered on top.

@Samus - Yea, we can talk if you want, but I'm actually doing this for fun and as a parttime hobby. I was away since July.

@Chakkra - It's just a style that I chose. Plus, that building on the left is a two story building/tower. You'll see what I mean in a sec.

I just noticed this, but is the shadow for your wooden gate(?) taking advantage of alpha channels(I think that's what it's called, please correct me if I'm wrong.) or is the shadow part of the tiles?

On that note, your work is looking great, keep it up. :)

Great style, I love it  :cheesy:

Only thing that seems a little off to me is the bricks on the gate. They stay rectangles when the truth is they would shrink as they got closer to the ground aswell. It's not too bothersome, just seems strange when I look at it.

I'd love to see some monsters :)
