Drummerpete
People don't like it because it's the default shipped with Eclipse, meaning newbies over use them in a really ugly way.I have seen some incredible maps with RMXP graphics.
Harris6310
@Robin:> Also, this is for my personal game. It's too built into the structure of the game to be released. That's why I thought you would be making it just for you.

Chakkra
RMXP can be very good. But it can also be very bad. Personally I liked the previous graphics you were using.
Robin
I still like MACK's, but I've used them for so long now that they're getting overused. Also, they really don't match the GUIs I create either.I know I can make RMXP look good. My only problem is that they're very washed out by default. Hoping to fix that with either pre-rendering some sort of overlay to give it a better look, or by doing a d3d overlay with some fog/tint effects to fix it up. It's just a few labels, a picture box, and a few server-side procedures. I'm going to create an actual editor for it later on.Will you be building the editor into orgins? Chakkra
Please add that feature in Origins. That would make it 1 step cooler than the rest.

Kinjiru
A quest system that works similarly to this would be a great edition to orgins, with a built in editor and everything

Robin
Fixed the GUI so it'll fit on a 1024x768 resolution now. Also re-arranged it a bit. Also set up a batch process and saturated and increased the contrast on all the tilesets.I felt the original were very washed out.![](http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/6659/52144663.png)

Robin
@Slowpoke:> Well then you've really made it look amazing. Thanks, but my mapping is mediocre at best compared to some of the oldies from the RPG Maker scene. It's good by Eclipse standards, but not by normal standards.
