I take high pride in the Silverdale name and have kept quiet with my team for the past months about the huge revamp we have planned. We have listened to every suggestion and feedback our users have left us and built our new base around that. I think it's safe to say I can speak for the whole team at Skideria games on how excited we are to open the doors to the public eye on the current progress and changes from the original Silverdale.Silverdale is completely starting over, New player base, new items, mobs, areas, and more. By starting over, I mean completely over… But this time our main goal is to have the three following things in mind._1.) Community-driven__2.) No quests, world events.__3.) Skilling_Will update more tonight.![](http://i50.tinypic.com/kafuxe.png)

Guest
Sure the bigger screen size is a good idea but graphically I prefer the old GUI.

Socuine
The new GUI looks alot better than the old one. It's refreshing, semi on-screen and the colors suit well.
Wortel Angels
YeahI like the new GUI too ;-)Ill definately play this game again if i got time ^^
SawQuart
The only thing I don't like is that the new GUI seems a bit too busy. Your main GUI should be as minimal as possible.
Synergy
> The only thing I don't like is that the new GUI seems a bit too busy. Your main GUI should be as minimal as possible.Basically my thoughts as well. It's better because of the increased screen size, and puts the game at the centre of attention, but it looks rather confusing and filled.I wonder if you could try separating it out a bit so it doesn't appear as one large block at the bottom of the screen.Less is more in this instance. ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png)

JustinSD
We are moving from the Steampunk feel of the game and going for more of the Chibi feel with the UI.This is still just the early draft of the UI. This is just the first preview of it being used live on our Alpha Client.I will be giving out 50 Alpha Keys (Only way you can get on the game) Sometime in the next week or two.Planning Alpha for the 1st of Dec.*edited the thread with new Character ui and Inventory ui*
Fyr
The newer UI is much more modernized. I think it's far superior to the old one. Thumbs up from me.
TheRexion
Nice. I hope to be a part of the alpha. Hopefully it'll actually have paperdolling, like I've been waiting for, for some time now.
Helladen
We're going to have paperdolling and the UI is going to be revamped to match the art better. Those item/spell icons are placeholders for now, too. This may change at anytime though.
Zetasis
Hmm. I think the whole idea of starting Silverdale over isn't a bad thing but the new UI and current icons are just to modern looking to fit Silverdales retro style. The UI and everything looks but it would be better if you guys maybe used Macks VXAce sprites along with the Coming of Age Day tiles instead of the retro GFX. Don't get me wrong I personally love the retro style but it just doesn't match the new changes.Edit: I just saw the post before this so that makes me feel a little better. JustinSD
This was our first UI draft that Rory had done. Working on the rest of the UI on Sunday with him.We have a vision and theme / style we are aiming to go with. Ignore the icons for now, just placeholders. We are for sure keeping the retro style graphics though. There are just too many games with the commonly used tiles and not so many popular retro games alive any more. This won't be a halfassed dropped project. There are a lot of aspects being looked at within the game and how the gameplay will be.* Updated first post*

Grukbert
I used to be a fan of the old UI but I say the change is a good thing. Especially since you are planning on redesigning the entire game.Keep it up! I'll definitely be checking this one out!

Synergy
I don't want to be pessimistic, but will there even be 50 people playing? ![](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.png)I don't know how many people used to play it though, so… ![](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif)
JustinSD
Well since I took over the games Title and name we gained a total of 3500 registered users.Nearly about 2200 registered character names. At max peak we had 180 Users online at once for our "Reddit" event. It's safe to say this is one of the only other games other than Crystalshire that has a active user base more than 20 players and is actually active.I've given out 15 of the 50 keys so far to people asking via PM here and on my forum.I'm sure the remaining 35 would be gone in a day if we held it open to the first 35.
