  1. I think the simple initiative is going to allow people from more areas to enjoy eclipse…like we don't even really have a dedicated section for composers or artists, I could easily develop a system to host music and artwork for our members. The content creator focus will help expand our limitations for community interest in my opinion at least.
  2. I am very excited for the future and I will be here to help until the end…I am honored to be apart of this new idea. I hope all others will understand your reasoning.

Plans are currently being developed to satisfy that request. Thanks, Yuko

    Advertise at Eclipse

For months we have been letting free advertising happen with our banner system, however it is our fault. The banner system is meant to display games for a decent amount of time to catch visitor and member's eyes to bring them to your site, and despite our low amount of activity, people still see those advertisements, so we will be requiring payment for them again starting tomorrow. I will be replacing all banners with a placeholder image. **Featured Spot** - $20 per month Want to help support Eclipse Origins, but get the most out of your banner? Your banner will be featured on all pages of Eclipse, and will appear twice on the slideshow on the homepage. You must provide an image and a link. **Slideshow** - $10 per month Your banner will appear once during the slideshow on the front page. You must provide an image and a link. To purchase one of the above, click the donate now link below, and send the amount. DO NOT purchase the "Featured Spot" if it has a line through it, as it has already been purchased, and will be available next month. Once you send the payment, message me (@Yuko) your banner link and website link. Your month **will not start** until I add your banner and link to the slideshow. Don't own a game or project, but want to support Eclipse Origins? [Donate Now](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/donate.php) Regardless if you buy a banner or donate, you will receive the Donator rank. Questions? Comments? Feel free to message @Yuko or @Link.

@'Growlith1223': > i have seen actually, glad to see more is happening right now, let's just hope that it stays this way, Eclipse died off on bad terms, people are trying to revive it but this place shouldn't be revived, it should be changed to make it better than what it is and what it used to be I believe this statement completely, but that's just what I am doing. I believe @Link has a plan, and in order to give him time to think I have taken over community management so he can really focus on what he wants to do. I will do what I can for now to bring interest back into the forum, but it's up to him on the rest. Thanks, Yuko

@'Growlith1223': > #bringbacktheeclipsegreentheme > > in all seriousness, i suggest maybe changing how the current board designs are, the Questions and Answers board specifically is confusing as all hell to find, the entire boards section imo is just a clustertruck of a thousand different sub-boards lol I am currently working on this, as you may have seen a few boards have already been moved around.

@'or3o': > Might i suggest a place where we can write tutorials for non eclipse related engines (eg. unity) Some of us on here use different engines and it might be cool to see new tutorials (even if they arent for eclipse). Yes! These are the kinds of suggestions I will be paying attention to, this will bring more ideas and more energy to the forum through different development. I will consider this while restructuring the forum. Keep the ideas coming, this community is built by the people who know what it needs. Thanks, Yuko

    Community Manager

Hello Everyone, I am an Eclipse veteran from back in 2011, I used to go by the name of Cici or Amazi. Due to recent events I have gotten in contact with @Link in order to assist with the future of Eclipse Engine and Website. To make this quick, I am your official Community Manager, and I am glad to say, I have nothing but the intention to assist Link in bringing back the spark. I will be dealing with community related issues, events, web development, and general support as with some on demand administrative duties. I will be taking these duties off of Link's shoulder so that he may look into the future of the project such as the engine. **My Plan?** First, I want to reorganize the boards and try to clean things up. When I first returned, I noticed my work last time left the boards completely out of place, and I neglected a lot of the organization. It's currently difficult to find some of the boards, and some important boards could be brought back to engage certain community members. I will be working on reorganizing everything, and this should be completed by tonight. Secondly, I was reading @jcsnider's post earlier about revamping the rules, and I will also be working on doing that. I would like to look at some of the current aspects the staff have in mind for rules before I touch this though, but I can ensure that a new page for rules will be added to help clarify the community guidelines and expectations for members. Finally, I will be working on the design. It's been here for a while, but it could use some work. Things are definitely choppy, and hopefully we can make it look cleaner and smoother. I do have a lot I want to do, but in a reasonable amount of time, this is all I can really explain right now. I hope to host some events in the near future which will include cash prizes, so keep an eye out. If you have any comments or suggestions, as always, I am open to them, and will consider all suggestions. Best Regards, Yuko

    The situation.

@'or3o': > The fact that so many people react soo strongly is proof that people still care about this forum. So true.
  10. @'SkywardRiver': > Oh hey Cici :D Not a rant at all, if we could all keep our cool it would be a nice discussion to finally have. > > A few notes on your post though (of course lol) > > While yes, it was immature of me to "leak" what had happened, I believe it was best for the community to know what was up instead of being told a month or two down the road. > Also I'd just like to point out I've never said (or have never meant to say) that I have been the only one contributing life to the community. Even I'm not that arrogant ;) > > Anyways, thanks for your two cents :D Yes, but I am sure things could have been figured out if someone would have brought up the request of a organizational meeting sooner. I was referring to the part where you said your engine was keeping this community alive, as it was a decent contribution, it was just one of the many little contributions that has kept this site alive. I'm not here to argue though, I just wanted to point it out. * * * @'Link': > I will say this though, I saw no need to post "news" the developers were actively keeping up their development topics. Also I was planning to post news the week I came back, however things took a turn eh? Sorry if this becomes a double post, yes development posts are good and helps us stay in touch with the updates of the reason why we're here, but the lack of community news is what I'm concerned with. Nin Online has at least 2-4+ news posts a month, as it is a bigger community and demands more, it's still good to have a community briefing every so often.

    The situation.

I love you Link! It's okay to be emotional and feel like the bad guy, to run a community that's kinda how you're supposed to feel. It's a special motivation. If you need help I am here to help, I sent you a message a few days ago…but you haven't responded. I'd like to chat with you sometime....
  12. Now I cannot speak officially or anything like that since of my absence these past few months, but I would love to chip in since you both are good friends I've known for countless years. Link, as I do think your arguments are valid, I do not believe this is the way an owner should respond to the community. I love the both of you dearly, and I've worked with both of you closely on projects over the years, and I really hate to see conflict within a community I practically grew up in. Sky, I do believe you act in a professional intention, but you shouldn't say anything about a team, when you refer to the team you criticize the entire team, not just Link which I think is also dumb. Also releasing information such as Developers leaving for certain reason should only be the job of the developers or the higher staff, I believe anyways. Behind the scenes things being released is called "Leaking" which I believe is quite an immature and offensive move towards the team. Link, I see you online ALL the time, and the last time you posted news was so long ago, and the past few times you've posted, it's been about the future and the dream team, but so far I see no updates or anything, I thought the forum was supposed to be fixed months ago? Link, I believe Eclipse can live, but you're making me doubt your ability to do so. I may have been absent, but old news that seems almost new to me isn't good. We need updates, we need plans, we need someone who can truly put a crown on this website. I miss Marsh because of that, I miss his ability to just bring the community together and make everyone feel so happy to be here. I do believe that we don't need Marsh's ownership to have that again though… I have believed in this website despite all I've been through. I've been through hell and back with this website, I may not have experienced what Link has, and I wish I could help out, but there's a lot to put into a community which has had a demand for content for so long. TBH, no offense Link, I thought this community was going to die about before 2016, and as it has shown tremendous downgrades, the loyal ones still lurk around as I've been seeing. Even I am magnetized back to this community every other month. You also cannot officially say you're the only one who has contributed to the life of this community, Sky. That's a selfish bounty to claim. Should EO find a new route to success: Yes; Do I think Link or someone can formulate a plan: Yes; It just needs the support of its loyal people, and I think this post is just a bunch of bananas. I'm probably ranting too much so I'll close off, I am glad to see you all again :D Thanks, Yuko (Cici)
  13. I personally think you should keep updating, it's an old engine and stuff, but that doesn't matter. Old or not creativity does not stop at the limitations. Since I found a good spot to work (Nin Online) I have been enjoying eclipse origin's features in a way I never have and its been inspiring me. I have been messing with the engine and have decided upon working with it, so I might be sharing some information on projects I may pursue, if I find time. So continued support for this engine is surely desired, if it's a financial issue you're thinking I'd be willing to pay you for continued support and updates on this engine, I kinda had a quick read, I really don't understand your stance with it thus far, but if you're giving up on it, you shouldn't. EW has been cut off permanently by Seth, and this is one of the other better engines in terms of usability (I guess). Regards, Yuko
