As I said, I'm pretty sure Slym did it as contractual work, so Just admire the art and be content.

Our little Slym is all growned up! - And by that, I mean that he has continued to develop his craft of pixel art and has been working on a game that truly just blows me away. His art is absolutely fantastic, and I really wish I would have kept up with him all those years ago when we both started off; unfortunately I went the web design route. While I love my own craft, his art truly is something to be proud of. You said that it could be as generic or specific as we'd like. Does this have to be for a specific indie game? Or can we simply make a webby with a fake title - one that still is designed for a game, though.

Essentially, what you're asking is, "Which pile of garbage looks prettiest?", which is not a fair question by any means. Neither look presentable. Back to the drawing board, I say.

Oh contrar' (probably didn't spell that right…) The hilts on the swords are too wide, except for the third sword. Hilts are almost never the same width as a blade, unless you've got a thinner one, like a katana, and your swords are more or less modeled after the classical European style.

No, it was on google images, and took a while to find. I don't think I'd be able to find it. EIther way, I am planning on redoing him.

In the reference it did. It's just the angle he was at, but yeah, as I said, I am still learning and am not quite sure how to do skin tones real well yet.
