If some one charges you and all you have is a cake it wont hurt much to fluffy

now if some one charges and you have a super hot apple pie. The filling will stick to them like napalm :D

so yes pie is better in all ways :)

Pie is generally more versatile; also a lot of "cakes" I don't know why are considered cakes; cheesecake in it's process and ending is really closer to a pie. And ice cream "cakes" usually don't have any cake in them, mostly just different types of ice cream and perhaps a layer of cookie or candy crumbs (Also FUCK the "c ookie -> biscuit" wordfilter if I had my admin access I'd clear it…).

My personal favorite dessert is brownie ala mode. Then apple/berry crisp/cobbler ala mode. Then pecan pie ala mode. Seriously why all the fighting? Small slice of pie, small slice of cake, and a nice scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream for it all!

Yeah I don't really care for meat pies but they are a reason I said pies are much more versatile. Cakes aren't really that versatile, it's always cake (like I said before I don't see why cheesecake is called a cake); the common aspect of pies are the crusts, and those can be as varied as the potential filling.

Cake all the way. The only pie's I like are pumpkin, and cheesecake, which I think is half cake by name alone. Cake rocks, and if I was on the fence, ice cream cakes would tip the balance anyways

People often seem to forget that there's a lot of crumbles and denser types of cake. I had a walnut and pineapple cake once, dense as bread but moist and delicious.

sorry to burst your bubble, but crumble is considered its own category since it neither has a pie crust or rises when baked.

Also, note that not all cakes rise when baked. Look at flourless cakes for instance.

Altho i like cake, i feel pie is losing too much.

-Pie is used in math by smart people (Pi = 3.14).
-There is an international pie day. no cake day.
-Pies comes in tons of flavors. cakes are mainly choclate/vanilla.
-Pie + Ice cream rapes Cake + Icecream (especially if the pie is hot/warm)
