Looks good, but a little dissapointing after seeing/playing your flash based game. It must be a tad frustrating for you having to 'dumb' down your sprites so they work in the engine. You should look at improving the frame count, as your flash pony game was pretty cool, my 5 year old loved it.

MrMiguu did it with Project Vertigo.

Yeah, Devo is right. Try to make the engine less complex and make it so little kids can play it. The combat system is pointless really, and any items besides clothes and gold should be limited. I like that you added pets, but try to make them simple. This is just my opinion and I have no idea who is actually playing your game, so feel free to take or leave my advice.

Didn't imply anything, stated something yes, that the default 'out of the box' walk cycle for EO is the standard 3-4 frame. Did I say it was hard to change? just said it must be frustrating for him/her already having the frames there and the output is still limited - whether they increase the framerate is up to them, don't recall saying it was difficult.

I think this game probably would be good with a C++ engine, interesting to see how it pans out. Not sure what age bracket you are targeting, but you have my kids hooked.

You said he'd have to dumb down his sprites in order to make them work with the engine. That implies you can't change the sprite frames. You can easily.

No it doesn't Soul.

He made a flash animation with full frames, which is what I saw first. His video shows him using 3-4 frame walks, ie  'dumbing' down his sprites. I wasnt actually referring to the code in any sense (or at least 'out of the box' I was)  and its clear he hasnt even started to mess with that yet.

loved the video, this game seems like it will be legit with lots of fun stuff to do. ;) love the flying. will the ponies have the ability to fly over blocked tiles?
