20/2(5+5)

I'd say 100.

If I recall correctly, brackets go first, so it changes to 20/2(10), which is 20/2*10.

Now, they / and * are on the same level, so we go from left side, which makes it 10*10 = 100.

Or not, maybe I'm wrong.

You can distribute it if you want, it would go something like…

20/2(5+5) to 10(5+5) to (50+50) = 100

You do parentheses first, exponents second, multiplication and division third, addition and subtraction forth. And you do those left to right, aka, 20/2 then the 10 and then you multiply it with the parentheses.

That means do what's in the parenthesis first, which would be adding those constants. Answer should be 100.

You don't distribute before multiplying outside the parentheses, in other words, you have been going right to left

To be honest this is how we do it in school (And everywhere else in the world)

(Order Of Operations AKA PEMDAS)

1. Parentheses first
2. Exponents
3. Multiplication and Division (left-to-right)
4. Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)

20/2(5+5)

Parentheses first:

20/2(10)

No Exponents, Skip

Multiply/Devide left to right

20/2 = 10

10(10)

Ans = 100

Basic Math

Edit:

You **only**
use distributive property for letters

Likeso:

5(x+3) = 5x + 15
