  14. This community lacks promotion of pre-production. Not to target you, Cici, but how is this an active project if you're still working on mapping? No logo? No story? There's absolutely no reason why I'm playing this character with an endless journey? What is this world that I'm in and why am I journeying? What can we expect each class to look like? What kind of unique abilities and skills do each class have to offer? What kind of creatures will I expect to see in this world? A post like this really leaves me wanting more (which is good and bad). Again, not trying to be harsh, but these are all things that make a good post. There's so many "Here's an Eclipse game I'm to eventually have some screenshots for" posts, try to stand out!!! That being said, I like your idea and I'm looking forward to seeing more updates!

Usually it's because the owners of these threads are really excited about what they're working on, which is great BUT they usually lack a lot of pre-production so every little update seems like a big one. My suggestion to Hackertatio, work some more on the design of your game, clean up the thread, add more screenshots and add more details. Post updates when people DO join the team, talk about their involvement. Update us when you add a new zone, a slew of new skills, etc… If you are accumulating a bunch of small updates, save them for one post rather than a bunch of separate ones.
  18. I graduated from the game dev degree program from full sail in summer of 2013\. I'll say this, the education is just a set of expensive tools and it is up to you to build something with them. I loved it there, and while I learned a lot, it was networking and side projects that rreally drive my success. I'm not even a programmer, I'm a designer and I love it. Just. Remember, passion goes a long way. In this industry. When I was at full sail, I'd spend at least 4 more hours a day in addition to my 8 your classes just practicing and researching. Edit: Wrote this on my phone disregard the terrible spelling/grammar :D
