Anna Comnena
Yeah add frivolous end-level content that can be potentially bug ridden before all the framework is finished.:icon_nif:
mrmiguu
@Gohan:> Suggestion for next version: Music file support for something other than MIDIThis is a good idea but how would I do it efficiently? Gohan
@Anna:> Yeah add frivolous end-level content that can be potentially bug ridden before all the framework is finished.> :icon_nif:I think Miguu already added "frivolous end level content that can be potentially bug ridden". These extremely dynamic sprites aren't exactly NEEDED. For example, CC has a decently popular .hack game, and their sprites still have that 2 frame movement making them look like they're gonna piss their pants. Music however is VERY important for a game. Ever seen a game with no music? No.@Miguu:> This is a good idea but how would I do it efficiently? DX7 Sound doesn't support .mp3 files, I don't think.Well I noticed the sound effects are wav. Maybe that would work.

mrmiguu
True. I believe you can convert mp3 to wav and play it as a sound. I've done that before. I want some more input and suggestions of what I should do about adding other music types.

mrmiguu
@Domino_LV:> hmmm.. I suggest in next release fix and add tutorial for paperdoled items. They're already fixed for the next release. The concept is the same as regular sprites. Paperdoll use the same dynamic frames as your regular sprites. Next version <3@horsehead:> hey Miguu what u want to change on the second PVO release? Maybe that would work.If you had .wav music, it would take up a huge amount of space as they're uncompressed. Of course, this depends on how many bits of music you plan for and how long they last, but it does take up more space. If that isn't a worry for you then go ahead, I'm just pointing it out.
