Psithyroi Online has come a long way since it was first introduced on the 30th of may. New faces, such as mine; joined the team and together we aim at nothing more then a great community and game. Psithyroi has gone through many graphical changes from time to time. I will now show a preview of changes below.

**During the early days of Psithyroi**

These were the old trees, looks very nice but was made better.

The map looks quite odd, yet okay. Though Kevin noticed this needed to be changed with the rest of us and so began a new tileset and way of mapping.

The game menu, looks very small yet very nice. Though this also needed to be changed and was made to something far better with the help of our new developer wraith.

Psithyroi is far from complete, but a lot is being done everyday. Everyone working non-stop while joking around. It is great working with them, and we all have big things in mind for this game.

Kevin has done it again. New monsters are being found around the world of psithyroi. These are just a few of many we have been able to identify.

**Shy Mush**
Level: 25
Surprisingly, this is the strongest of all the mushrooms. Perhaps because it isn't even a mushroom. What is it? I have no idea.

They look awesome though, and quite creative.  That's something I like about these enemies, they're not your standard enemies, they're unique.

Few points;

**1.** Remove the blue inner glow on the left of your website background image. Makes it so the repeat doesn't work on large monitors.
**2.** Remove the entire portal on your website. It looks terrible. A simple announcement system with buttons and stuff works fine. Go look at every good video game website.
**3.** Stop using SMF. I can't stress this enough. That forum software is horrendous. Find something good, get a good skin then build off that. Right now that coupled with the shitty portal is ruining the site.
**4.** Get someone who can design GUIs.
**5.** Lose the animated avatars. They look bad.
**6.** Lose the signatures. You don't have the engine done and thus the backend doesn't exist. Right now it looks silly - especially with the 'request' buttons. Not to mention the design is really poor. See point #4.
**7.** Be more picky when bringing people on to the development team. I won't name names but a solid team is much more important than a large team. Simply having a weak link in the team can cause huge problems.

1-3\. Yeah we know, the forum is only temporary. We actually have one in the works with custom graphics and our new forum doesn't use SMF.
4\. Well Kevin wanted to pixel the GUI to match the game or are you talking about the main menu GUI?
5.Mines and Akatsuki?
6\. Nothing wrong with having your game logo in your signature. :)
7\. Eh, our team is solid and isn't as large as you think it is.

Edit: Oh you mean Akatsuki's avatar and signatures? Well, that's just something he wanted to do.

Yes. The logo looks fine if a little… garish. But the whole _faux backend integration_ thing looks really cheap.

Was just an observation. Looking through the thread it seems like you've got different people doing different things and altogether not getting much done. I've yet to see any engine specifications at all which is _very_ worrying.

Yes, thanks for the tips, Robin. The entire website itself is being completely redone; and I have to say it looks **much** better than the current forum design. The new forums won't be using SMF, won't have a portal, and will not have signatures (I find signatures pretty useless).

As for our team, it only consists of 5 members right now, and we're partnered with a digital media/server provider. The team is quite solid, it includes 1 programmer, 3 graphics specialists (Kevin does sprites, Wraith does concept art, legend does general graphics), and Akatsuki is a community support/psithyroi representative for getting our game out there. Everyone works together, and it's all looking good so far :)

Feel free to check back on this topic every now and then and give us some critique on our new website when it's complete.
