  1. @'SkywardRiver': > A lot better. And yes, everyone judges company's like that. If Blizzard didn't have a game to their name, and made a post like that do you think it would entice people? Forgive my cynicism, just wanted to give you guys some advice on presentation lol. No worries, thank you. Just know it was intentional. :)
  2. @'SkywardRiver': > Awful lot of talk for a company that (as far as I can tell from this post) hasn't put out any noteworthy games. Instead of talking like you're graciously giving people the opportunity to let them work for you, what can this company do for it's workers? What kind of games do you make? How much publicity have you garnered? Stuff like that. If you judge a team/company's authenticity or ability to talk about themselves in a proud manner based on "noteworthy" games they've released, the answer to your questions wont change the fact that we aren't your cup of tea. In any case, just in case others may have the same questions. Do for workers: That is something for the individuals who are interested in joining to experience and find out. We can write a long list of things and whether or not it is true is something you wouldn't know. What we've been able to do thus far for those involved has kept them involved, and others found themselves at AAA studios thereafter. Games we make: Our website should give you a solid idea. We want people who are interested enough to go through the trouble of figuring out the simple bits to who we are without us laying it on the table. Publicity: We have products that aren't mentioned that we are working on that has been on national television and magazines, and titles that aren't completed yet mentioned in various blogs and news sites. We aren't following our publicity so there is no solid answer to this. We've worked with a university and the product we worked on will be in k-12 schools throughout the US. We also run an educational [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/c/Curiosity180LetsTalkAboutIt-c180) series that we forsee reaching a large amount of subscriptions within the year. In any case, hope this answers your question and any others who might've wondered the same thing! Primarily we avoided listing all what we have accomplished or can do because this thread/post is to see those who stand out and have individuals realize they are apart of something that will be interesting in their own way.
  3. ![](https://s31.postimg.org/ll0dtctuz/501365_Z9ng5_WU0.png) Our team started right here back in the old days of Eclipse Origins. After a successful time at E3, it has come to our attention that the vision we have for our company is one that requires dedicated and motivated individuals all working towards the same goals. We have a small group developing around the clock to build a brand behind our company, but we need more members. We are not looking for specific roles or positions to fill, rather we are looking for people who stand out. Please visit [**this**](https://www.jumpbuttonstudio.com/careers/) page and fill out the form. What we are looking for is someone who is able to show us through their words and accomplishments why we should give them the opportunity to join us on our journey. All positions from marketing to programming are available. Anyone able to develop mobile apps/games will be prioritized when we look through applications. A bonus to joining our journey is a chance at attending E3 in any of the years to come and representing our company along with other members. This is indeed a non-paying opportunity for the moment but you will have opportunities to work on paid projects as well as get free tools to use towards development. Definitely consider!
  4. Aha, thank you all for the support! We will be hosting a charity stream on the 29th and 30th of this month with various streamers including the guys who host the DICE Awards. There will be lots of fun giveaways and communicating so we would like to extend an invitation to Eclipse to take part in these events. 5. I suppose April is also the month of returning, haha. Welcome back.
  6. Once upon a time, I found time to become less busy and revisit the place where everything began. Before I go on and leave a link to the most recent news letter with lots of information and news, I would like to remind this community that it has the ability to empower and provide opportunities to individuals who have a strong passion towards game development. A few years back, I was just an individual browsing and connecting with this community. I stumbled upon a project that started within Eclipse and now, I am heading a company the stemmed from this very community doing things and being involved with things I never imagined myself doing. This year members of my company will be attending E3 under an industry pass, meaning free tickets, due to the work we have accomplished and done. That was a milestone I had set for 5 years from now. In any case, moral of the story guys… take advantage of what Eclipse is and has to offer. I've been away for a long time, but I intend to return and help provide more opportunities to this community for what it has made possible for me. Only those willing will see it to the end. Now, after reading that... please visit this [newsletter](http://eepurl.com/bXKJA1) and join in on our adventure! * * * [![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CgGMA8OUsAM-Dj7.jpg:large)](http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=615557385)
  7. Here is a link to the first newsletters sent out two days ago. http://eepurl.com/bxcSQb If you have yet to subscribe or start following the project, now is the time. Aside from this, I plan to be more active around the Eclipse community as a co-owner and doing what I can to see this community thrive.

    Patience

Sorry you all feel that way but we still care. Right now it isn't what we care about but what we need to do, and we have various things going on so that places eclipse in the middle of priorities, though we do plan things that we need to do once our focuses are back in track. Feel free to insult us as much as you think necessary but that wont change the speed of things. Just know, one day you'll visit this site, and be shocked. That day is within this year. It is just a matter of when we can get to it. We apologize.
  9. @'Marsh': > I need my smileys back. How am I supposed to communicate my complex emotional state without them? :( You got it :) give us the weekend.

    E3

@'Marsh': > No idea how to quote people on this forum as the quote button never works. > > No, E3 is really more for marketing now a days. So no reason for programmers to go. GDC is more the industry event that we would go to. Some programmers on my friends team are being sent to E3, but I think its pretty rare. Like I said mostly marketing guys. I mean I guess it is possible I would be sent. But unlikely. > > [Edit] > > That is the company sending you and paying your way though. I may be able to tag along though. Never really looked into it. Sadly the quote is a bit weird, will look into but you can quote by choosing the ' "Reply ' option before the quote.
  12. Just a concept of something we're going to do this summer. Stay tuned and be sure to subscribe for newsletters to be informed first! ![](http://s3.postimg.org/z193grokz/KATS_temple.png)

@'James': > I can't set one like I said on the shoutbox it asks me to activate my account but then I click the link to activate it then it says it is already active. > > You do not have permission to access this page. @'Marsh': > how do I unsubscribe from this thread? I have changed my settings now but I still get these damn emails. Testing this once again. Go to your control panel, choose the subscription option at the bottom of the panel right above forum subscription, check the box the selects them all and click to remove all subscription. I do not know if by replying to a thread it automatically adds it to subscribe list even after you've deleted it, but this post will allow me to test that. OH! Found the culprit. When you're replying, at the bottom before attachments it has thread subscription. Pick the first checkbox, or which ever you want to go with. Silly thing automatically has email checked. I'll look into how we can have that not be auto selected. * * * @'Tick': > So will posts get a like button? For now you will need to make do with the rate button :p we can look into a like button down the road once more important things are sorted. * * * @'James': > *waits for signatures to work* What exactly is wrong with signature? Can you not set it or is it not appearing? If not appearing, I think you need to select the option next to _Post Options_ to have your signature included in the reply.

@'Marsh': > When clicking on a topic on the site index it would be nice if it went to the last page instead of the first. Or remember where you left off like ipb. You should be taken to the last post of the thread when you click on topics from the index now, or is that just happening for me?

Display name feature will be introduced later today for you guys to do the name changes. Hang in there.
  19. It seems that the community is split in terms of the chatbox being available everywhere. We included a hide feature specifically for those who didn't like seeing it where ever they went. If this isn't enough, this poll is to get to a final decision on if the chatbox remains everywhere or not. It ends on Monday which is 4 days from now.
  20. [![](https://d2zc23renulrga.cloudfront.net/assets/40687/08i29nwohebcc58bd05m/Title.png)](http://www.gamebuilder.io/) Ello Eclipse, We have already started the changes that will lead towards where we aim to take this community. It was a bumpy start but things are starting to settle. This is only the beginning of what is to come and we hope you will venture with us through these changes as they happen. Our focus is providing as many resources as we can to the individuals that joins this community and that is exactly what we will continue to do. We wont be able to please everyone and there is only so much we can do at a time so we ask for your continued patience as things move forward. In any case, the purpose of this topic is to inform you guys that we have recently partnered with the team responsible for a tool known as GameBuilder which is entering its beta testing phases soon. As a community, game development is our focus and that means all forms of game developments. We are hoping to give current and future members a bridge to explore various forms of game development beyond just rpgs, mmorpgs, etc. This is one of many partnerships we hope to form in the coming months to provide a variety of different platforms and tools to this community to have quick communication with the developers behind the tools as well as getting the chance to be involved in something pretty awesome. Robert Cornwall is the representative within this community that will be responsible for helping you all and communicating with you about this tool and how you can get into the beta. There will be a board made dedicated to Game Builder IO for all your questions, requests, etc. Below is their mission. > We believe that great content can speak for itself. Regardless of experience, budget, or platform, making a game requires creativity and insight into the user’s mind. It unites diverse developers in the pursuit of engaging, entertaining, and enthralling players. > > That’s why we created GameBuilder - the first mobile platform that lets anyone create and publish mobile games all from their phone. Whether you are making your first game for your friends, or a seasoned professional looking for rapid prototyping and customer feedback, you can accomplish it in GameBuilder. With the support of the developer community, we can open the doors to the next generation of game developers and allow anyone to make truly great content. We are pleased to venture with them on this mission along with this community and we hope you will all be good supporters in helping this platform reach its potential. You may read more information about the platform [here](https://slack-files.com/T030GRF8U-F05327XGD-98243f7914). http://gamebuilder.io/

If you refresh your cache it should appear. We'll look into that soon. * * * @'CoreyM1995': > This is CMFiend420, cant login to my account :S Ill Pm you I responded. You can now reset your password. Sorry about the inconvenience. * * * @'Tick': > Well, I don't see a shotbox at this point, it will probably be replaced, I hope. Also, I can't access my signature, can't change my name, and I can PM myself. Display name changes is on our priority list. Being able to PM yourself.. lol, I will look into that as well as the signature shortly. The chatbox is back and will be updated weekly. * * * @'RecoStar': > Hi not sure if this is the right place, but just want to say I cant log into the site at all with my old account: Thor7 > > Tried a password reset like suggested (done twice) but I still cant log in. I've had to create this account just to let you guys know, and ask what is the next best step? It cool to get my old account back / with stats or should I just crack on with this one? (would be cool if you guys could transfer my stats from Thor7 to this one as this is more up to date with my details). > > Either way thanks :) We apologize. Give it a go once more in trying to reset your password. Request a new reset email, do not use the old email previously sent. You should be all set with your old account. * * * @'Marsh': > I now get emails whenever someone responds to this thread? Just for replying. Oh man. Please fix that. Sorry about this. You can edit your account settings to not send you email notifications. * * * @'Jaxx': > Can I be put in a user group plox D: We adjusted the color of the usergroup you're in. Right now usergroup colors is last on our list of priorities so they will all likely be properly changed down the road.

HTML has been disabled. I had it activated for the announcement boards so we could do more with the posts but I guess until we can restrict it I will leave it off. Everyone, please give the password reset another go! We have fixed the situation and you should be able to access your old accounts if you can access the email you used with it. We will be sending out a mass email asking for every user to change their password on this forum so we can get past this phase. Next on our list is the custom display names. Sorry again for all the inconveniences.

@'matt': > It's just something new to get used to. I prefer the functionality over the layout. I know that things will get fixed eventually, I just think that you guys should have fooled around a bit more before making the site go live. You've already heard my rant about it, so I'll leave it at that. My primary issue is account accessibility, and not losing past exchanges with other users in the form of threads, posts, or messages. Agoraphobic has complained that only a select amount of his pms have been transferred over. I'm worried that if/when I get my account back, they won't be there as well. I truly hope they aren't lost. I am partially certain they are not lost as the conversion converted over 160k private messages so they are stored in the database. The accoun accessibility we hope can be fixed with a password reset. We'll do all we can to sort the issues out and apologies once again for the poor launch.
