dg1423
Meh, I found an old backup of my 2.5-2.7 converter and decided to put it up. HEre it is, just stick in your server folder and run it.EDIT: FixedYOU'RE WELCOME

Dark Crusade
Seemed to work, but every time I ran the server afterward, I got RTE 7 Out of Memory.
dg1423
you sure you ran all the converters? RTE7 usually happens if you don't convert something and it tries to load it. Just pop the converter.exe in your 2.5 server folder, then run it and click on all the buttons. it's easy. xD
Marsh
Thanks for posting Dg didn't even know this existed.
dg1423
lol, np Marsh. It would take me all of about 30 seconds to convert my converter into a TE/1.0 - 2.7 converter. Should I do it?
Dark Crusade
Yes you should do it. =DAnd yeah I did run them all.
Marsh
Yea definitely and a TE converter if you can. That would be epic.
dg1423
yup, the way I set up the source was to make it easily swappable with the modTypes from other versions. plus TE and 1.0 are basically the same, so 1 converter would work for both. O.o
Baron
nice work dg, very cool stuff…
tiggilyboo
Testing this out now :cheesy:EDIT: Just wondering on how the file format is run, is it:Run in old server folder then grab re-written files and shove into New Server folder?Just wondering :P
Dark Crusade
I did what you suggested DG on MSN. As soon as I swapped the new maps over, it gave me RTE7\. And yes, they did successfully convert, and their size decreased to 28kb each.
James
Yeah i can't get it working with the maps in there
tiggilyboo
Confirmed that 2.6 map convert doesnt work for me. I even disabled map item spawning and animations. Still nothing :sad:Maybe this is why it was never released?
dg1423
this isn't for 2.6\. it's for 2.5\. Do you have scrolling enabled?
tiggilyboo
No, I checked over the map rec's and they seem to be the same. Though i could be mistaken :PI took the title to be: 2.5 to 2.7 (also including 2.6 because of the -) sorry for the inconvenience.

dg1423
THIS IS NOT FOR 2.6, NOR DOES IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH 2.6\. IT IS A 2.5 TO 2.7 CONVERTER ONLY.
kris_hole
well i know that now lol. could you make one for 2.6 please? theres no way to get back from 2.6 to 2.5 lol.
The Oracle
well, 2.6 wasn't even posted on the main page because of major bugs and stuff by DFA. I'm pretty sure it was "use at your own risk".
