Dark Crusade
If you play the guitar or bass, you've come to the right topic.Discuss guitars, music, riffs, amplifiers, and blasting the neighbors walls down due to extreme ampage here. To begin, here's a little bit about myself and my playing history-Been playing for around 4 years now. The first year was mostly on and off, until I got really serious about. The last 3 years I've been playing and improving consistently. Here is my collection of guitars and amplifiers-![](http://www.surround.org.il/image/users/64528/detail/big/714143.jpg)Schecter RevengerMy most recent guitar. Feels great to play (very low action, mahogany body)![](http://www.audiotronics.es/images/products/500_038072_1.jpg)Washburn WV16Got this when I was fed up with my piece of shit ashton. It was on special, and seemed like a good idea at the time to buy it. xD![](http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/electric/ashton/images/339full3.gif)Ashton AG-131My first guitar. Piece of shit. You know you want to. First amp ever. Heap of shit, I could make a better guitar sound with my mouth.Soon would like to do some quality recording. I recently had a line 6 Pod V2.0, but realised that the quality of recording wasn't what I wanted. So I sold it. Plus the effects and such on it I already practically had on my Spider III.What about you guys anyway? And keep it on topic.
Kusy
I allways wanted to play but I'm more like vocal. Planing on creating a 'band' sometime soon with my buudy. Still it's not THAT soon cause I sing and he plays bass… no drums and no guitarist... anyways - I don't like the V guitar... I don't like V guitars at all. Come on Kreator give us something to listen xD
Dark Crusade
I'm going into the city in a few days, I've been saving my money for moving out, but there's always the chance I could blow a grand or two at Billy Hydes music shop. So I may get that new guitar I want and something like a POD X3 or better to record with.@Kreator:> Soon would like to do some quality recording. I recently had a line 6 Pod V2.0, but realised that the quality of recording wasn't what I wanted. (sold it)But yeah, I really want to start recording. I have a half decent cam I could record with if you want to see.
Dark Crusade
I see Devogen is posting a long ass post. :DRegarding V guitars, I don't mind how some of them look, but they take a bit to get used to playing when sitting down. You hold either end of the guitar with your legs. Hard to explain, I'd have to find a picture.

zade_o
Lol, Kreator, i had a guitar with a broken high e string…. I never felt like going to get one.... so one day I went and got a pack just for that string. I came home and put it on. It fucking broke again an hour later. So I took the B string and turned it so tight that it sounded like the high e lmao
Dark Crusade
I like consistent gauge strings on my guitar. Having a b string for an e would seriously irritate me. I mean, overall everything would just play differently (especially techniques, vibratos, bends, etc)EDIT- stupid spelling mistake.
zade_o
Yeah, I got used to it. I just didn't feel like going out and buying a whole nother pack
Dark Crusade
Yeah understandable. Usually I always have at least a few packets spare. I should bludge some off my younger brother. He is still at school, and so happened to _'find'_ a whole box of electric guitar strings at school in the music room to take home. And I'm talking about a good 50 packets. Dark Crusade
Tyr, you need some ampage man!And cheers Spike. I was considering it too.
Devogen
Thats a nice guitar Tyr, and yeah it suks not having a good amp but you can hire good ones too, so dont stress about spending $$$$$$Do you have a good stereo? alot of guitar pedals come with pre-amps built in, so you can effectively use them on any sort of amp, even your home theatre kit (thogh it would sound shit unless you had some decent JBL's or a home theatre with BIG floor standing speakers..my friends uses a little 5.1 cube logitech set for jamming at home, actally works pretty well. zade_o
Yeah I remember being a bit un-knowing in regards to pedals. Then I went to an aquaintance's house and he had a really nice pedal and a shit amp and his guitar sounded professional
