  1. > I'd offer to help but I'm working on too many projects at the moment Sorry same here.
  2. I like Eclipse Worlds myself. The map editor is the best I've ever used the moral editor is a really nice feature. There are only a few things that could be added to it that would make it great for a base engine and one of which already comes with gold edition.
  3. Nice features and good progress. So far the only thing I'm not big on is the RMXP graphics but I can move past that. I'll be keeping an eye this.
  4. > Its the only engine with a good combat system imo Agreed.
  5. > Oh too bad, My game is not done yet D: Same here. :,( Anyways, it sure is a nice thing to do Carim, thanks.
  6. I didn't read everything but from what I can tell this has some nice information. I'll be sure to read more in time and I hope you continue to keep updating this.
  7. Thanks. I would post some screen shots but I'm currently planning out my WIP page which I will have more screen shots showing off more tiles.
  8. Okay so it has been awhile since I have made any updates so I thought I would throw one up. ![](http://eclipseorigins.com/community/filehost/208aa45a75074f75f9e35efc790e5cb2.png) I'm going to change the OP to show my first ever tiles and where they are now just to show how much they have improved(even if they are not that great).
  9. > Im out, im dealing with too much crap to get stressed over this. I didnt come back after 10 months to be ridiculed for asking the hard questions. Later guys. Hmm. I couldn't imagine letting a website stress me out. I know this community means alot to the members here, including me, but it seems that some members take this way to serious and end up just getting their feelings hurt. This isn't directed towards Spike alone by any means. I mean hell, if I see a post I don't like or don't agree with I simply move on. No point in letting something this insignificant ruin my day.
  10. I actually enjoyed reading that… parody? Marshy Crestmatt to all of Eclipse.
  11. Mohenjo Is right. There is a 'easy' way to make paperdolls. Remember, game development takes lots of time. Also, the paperdolls items don't have to look exactly like its corresponding item frame, just close.
  12. Wow this looks great. I'm curious, what engine are you planning on using? Kind of makes me miss Escalon.
  13. Oh man I miss the scripting system. I may just download them to play around with that again. Thanks for the share.
  14. The download for 1.5 doesn't have the compiled server.exe.
  15. > regtlib is not a functional command on win7 :( I'm having this same issue. Running 64bit win7.
  16. Wow looks pretty cool if I say so myself. I like the idea of players uploading images to the server. I'm guessing that is so the other guild members get the same image?
  17. I like the card game idea but to be honest my first thought when I saw the graphics was a pokemon clone. Also, I don't think there needs to be 100's of cards for each deck, I mean, pokemon only had 150 pokemon, to start out with, plus item cards so maybe like 200-250 cards total.
  18. Looks really similar to the RPG Maker set they released. I'm not a fan of the colors but all around they look presentable.
  19. Okay so when you say "Voxelbased" I think minecraft and this game definitely has higher quality graphics then minecraft. :) Looks pretty interesting and I may give it a shot when I have some time. Thanks for the share.
  20. Murdoc I think you hit the nail on the head. You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. Also, another thing I would like to point out, is that eclipse has gotten to a point where if your game doesn't look professional no one will even give it a chance, let alone have the decency not to not leave a rude comment. When I first joined, in the days of Eclipse Evolution, there were a ton of games that looked extremely amateur at best but yet people still didn't leave rude or hateful comments. Hell, I kind of think the amateur atmosphere of the community was a good thing in my opinion. At least back then there were a larger number of games being produced then there is now.
  21. Thanks for the feedback. I have been told from the start that I need to work on the palette so I googled snes palettes and choose one. The reason the dirt and door colors look similar is because I have only used colors on this palette, I haven't tried to add or create new colors for the palette yet which I guess I should do. I'm still somewhat new to pixel art in general. I am still learning and obviously have a lot to figure out still. I kind of think I made a mistake by trying to create my own style instead of try to recreate a style to learn from but I guess its never to late. Here is the palette I have been using, I thought it was a good one but I'm thinking other wise now: ![](http://eclipseorigins.com/community/filehost/9de06b5d3fa2022883dcbbb8bcc8a07b.png)
  22. I have picked up on these tiles again but I'm going to go with a fantasy theme instead of a sci-fi theme. Heres a preview of what I have done so far, I will most likely start a new topic for this new project. ![](http://eclipseorigins.com/community/filehost/985ebf5468de2ce16347c5420f03476a.png)
  23. As far as I know there is no way photoshop can create animated sprite frames for you. Plus, I don't really think photoshop is meant for pixel art; more for image editing. I recommend giving paint.net a try if you haven't yet. It works well for pixel art and there are a ton of plug-in available as well.
  24. If you are looking for sprites with that style then look for old Final Fantasy sprites. As for setting them up in an particular sprite sheet thats easy; use MS paint or a similar program.
  25. > Added my review as it stands so far for Arkadia. I'm glad you're keeping up with this. I find this topic to be very helpful myself so I'm sure its also a great tool for new members as well.
