  1. To make this a good option to use for a single player game you need an event or scripting system. I also suggest some system that would allow the creator to change the UI. Position wise and also being able to create your own menus and stuff. That would work great with a scripting system. Keep it up :)

    Let me get this right. You're talking about one currency (Coins) but when you have a certain amount of that currency it will be classed as something else. So… 1-99 = Coins but 100-199 would be classed as Notes? Something similiar, right? Or I've missed the point entirely but this does seem like a feature that would not be used in most games. If you want it then program it in.

I have not touched it in awhile. It is possible but if you want to follow the exact game mechanics and formulas of the Pokemon games then you're going to need to do quite a bit of programming.

  5. Too bad I only know very little about Avatar because I'd like to write for such a sweet looking game.
  6. A good story with some mystery. A world you can explore. There should be a set linear path but a player should be able to do a bit of wandering. A "expansive" skill/class system. Something that allows you to choose how you want your character to be and not have to be forced into a set bunch of skills or class. For an online game, I'd like there to be certain things that can only be accomplished with a party but they shouldn't be key plot points, rather side things that players can do together, allowing solo players to progress through the story without needing to team up. And puzzles and tricky stuff! :)

Take a look at what Growl said even though what Growl is suggesting is for one sprite sheet but you want 2(?) one for walking and one for attacking. That also is easy to do if you can do a bit of programming.

    Have you registered the RichTextBox control? Once you've done that, open up frmMain and add a RichTextBox control to the form and give it the name txtChat.

    Check out the source folder. If an error occurs when loading a project, a text file is created in the folder where the source file is. So if you get an error with frmMain then there will be a text file called frmMain.txt. Maybe that can help you.
