    [Solved] Topic

You add it to render after the armour. The order in which you equip items has nothing to do with the system.

I don't think you understand how paperdolling works in this engine.

    Godus

Not to mention he could fund that himself with no problem. Guessing he's using it as a measure to see if there is any interest for it?
  4. I've said this the other day, and will say it again.. For thinking that you can edit a text file and affect a compiled program. Here's what you should do: Set your computer on fire, let it burn for a good hour or so. Smash it with a hammer, now smash your own toes.. Then preferable a hand as well. With the remaining hand, pick up the computer and lip to a window to throw your computer out of it. And never, ever touch one again. I thought that was a pretty good hint at saying "Changing a text file does not, and will never affect a compiled program."? Anyhow, in the future open the Client/Server.VBP file and edit through there, this is the PROJECT file. It will load the entire project along with dependencies and allows you to compile your changes (given that they do not error out of course). The option for this is located in the File > Make XXXX.exe menu.

Nah, he also doesn't understand how D3D8 engines function in terms of adding shiny buttons.
  6. > hello my language is inaccurate because I am a Pole. Well, being a pole does make speaking rather problematic.. Anyhow, elysium died quite some time ago. You might find snippets that can help you out a bit on these forums.. But nothing that would work out of the box i would imagine.

    Swf Sig

So the webpage can be spammed with laggy crap that has serious potential to cause virusses and such to be spread, just because you're too lazy to render a GIF? No thank you.

For the third time, rip the system OUT of EA. dont use the engine itself, but take the bits you need and adjust them to work with 2.0..

    In-Game Cursor?

Render, that is a terrible way to do it. Why on earth are you replacing WINDOWS components with your own? Just write a method to render an image as a cursor. Problem solved. Replacing the actual cursor in windows will only work locally on your local machine, anyone else would need to do the same stupid thing, potentionally breaking their pointer in other programs. Think before you act and suggest please.

    News system in game

I meant to rip the basic system out of it. Not use the engine.

If EA has it, why not use that system as a base?
  12. The shadow is rendered at a default offset rather than it being based on the sprite. Check the DrawShadow sub and look for the Y value.
  13. I think she deleted it because she'd leave, but never did think about it being linked here.
  14. Your options type needs to have a Tray entry before you can call for it y'know.
  15. Your best bet is to write a batch script for Photoshop or something similar, or write your own program for it.
  16. No, ED was built from EO2.0, and I added in Snider's event system when it was under development. Mind you, it's slightly different from his and not compatible. So don't try converting data over between the two, too much of a hassle.Crystalshire (or CS:DE) was also built as a derivative from 2.0, I believe. And the reason direct copy/pasting back and forth doesn't work is because I generally add little tricks that make people think instead of blatantly copy/pasting.
  17. Because changing a UDT and some minor clientside handlers is hardcore.
  18. Because you need to delete or convert your data after that change, since youre allocating more space to a string. It will load in more data from the old file, loading random gibberish from the next datafield stored in the file, corrupting the loading sequence as the file is smaller then it sould be. Keep in mind that the bin files are just a binary memory dump. Changing the data loaded even by a single bit can cause it to go corrupt.
  19. Reset you DPI settings back to the default value. (96% iirc)
  20. So, basically you're doing everything I tried to prevent from happening while writing this? So much for getting people to use their brain for once.

    New Developer

As much as I would 'love' to, people sadly have more important business to attend to than creating and supporting an engine. And as long as I am unable to properly support an engine, and at least work on it once a day then I don't feel like it is up to me to even bother with such a thing. Growing up is a female dog, especially when you work 12 hours a day. And besides, how many people here would really be happy with me removing all their shiny tools and making it more complex? ;]
  22. They're not hitting for that much.. You're just getting send your hitpoints instead of the damage done.
  23. You should assign the NPC Behaviour as Shopkeeper(Note that a Shopkeeper does not actually mean he has a shop, just that he's immobile) and spawn him with the NPC Spawn attribute.
  24. Well, what I just said had nothing to do with that issue.. I was just stating how the whole instance thing could be fixed so that it doesn't crash on maps you haven't been to yet. And your above problem.. Not a clue, never cared to look into this system.
  25. it worked for me under Ubuntu some time ago, a lot of messing around with libraries to get it to run though.
