I'll reduce it to something like 1-in-8/10, and I'm also changing chasm generation around by quite a bit, to be more natural looking, and less…straight. ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)As for the chasms near the chunks, I didn't notice that, and that should've been obvious to me, but hey, thanks for telling me.As for the ~<1 second wait when generating chunks, blame the obvious lack of threading, and the fact that it has to generate a 16x1024 chunk quickly, combined with the need to unload the chunks that don't need to be in memory. You want to know why? Because they do something different. There is nothing that sets aside this from Minecraft or Terraria because all you've presented us with are blocky graphics and a randomly generated world and now especially the only thing that comes to mind is Minecraft or Terraria.
