IceCream Tuesday
haha, well thanks, what I meant by Type of item is like, Swords, helmets, potions, resources. not specific item's that could only have multiple by a recolor.

Lenton
It looks cool going through the stages but I think it would just be easier to pixel it.

Godlord
Like I said for the other tutorial: neat tutorial. Any change that you'll make a tutorial about tiles like dirt, grass, sand, water, etc.? I'd be mainly interested in that, as would be others, I think.Regards, Godlord.
IceCream Tuesday
@Lenton:> It looks cool going through the stages but I think it would just be easier to pixel it.you'd think, but pixeling at the smaller scale is harder to make the shape you want, without all the tedious trial and error.@Godlordess:> Like I said for the other tutorial: neat tutorial. Just is going to be one of the last thing I do, cause I HATE tiles.

And I have not. I already made the grass / cliff tile, Chakra should be able to work off of that.

IceCream Tuesday
I guess I could do some ranged weapons.. even though it'll be just like this since the same technique is used.. its pretty much if you can sketch something.. you can scale down and edit in a pixel scale. Maybe i'll focus more towards a texture. or pallete

ZoSo
![](http://orpgcreation.com/images/shield.png)I know this topic might be old, but I couldnt resist to edit that shield. Some major flaws I'd like to point out.The amount of unnecessary colours in the palette, reduced the palette from 12 to 6\. The mistake many people make with pixel art.. It may look good zoomed in, but when in normal size it looks jagged and sketchy. Shading the outlines allways gives Volume and Depth. Also filling out the missing outlines fixes alot of problems.. especially with backrounds, certain work can look good when the backround is black but it needs to look good over tiles, if its going to be used in games.. Therefore it should be pixeled in a mid-grey color like in the picture I posted.
