New TileSet

I've been silent/inactive for a while because of AP/IB tests and almost senior graduation for me. WOOT! However, I've been creating this tile set for fun. Enjoy.

Don't really like the shadow of the house, will change later.

Yeah shadow is so incorrect and unorthodox its not funny. Especially the tree's shadow over the house. The lighting on the crates and such isn't consistent with the shadows either, so I'd definitely recommend removing or changing the shadows.

The black outlines are too frequent, although they seem to be collaborating a particular style your aiming for, they don't look good when they are used for inside outlines, such as on the crates.

On a plus, your palette is rather nice.

Thanks! I'm really picky about my palette. I want everything to blend. And yea, the black lines are for my current style for this set. I took for advice on the boxes with the black lines. I've been deciding whether or not to get rid of black lines in the inside, but they went well with my roof. Gonna probably fix that too lol.

It's simple and cartoony and makes me want to try and make cartoony tiles aswell. The only thing I don't like is the tree, it has no depth to it. The light shading is nice, but it needs some more to it. I'd also have to agree with Kreator on the black outlines being used too frequently.

I want to see more :)

There's almost no readability in the crate where it transitions from the top to the side. Even in Kreator's edit. And your tree is a green blob.

You can tell.. there is contrast between the two side. Not much.. but enough to see that there is a difference.

lol, my bad kreator, scrolled too fast, look like the update was on your post.

@atrophy I know there's some… but like i said it's not very readable. Take a quick glance at the image, 5 seconds tops. It looks like a wooden wall.  Maybe it would help more if the side was rotated so the planks went up instead of sideways.
