So i was just sat here, doing a few things on kryce and i wondered what other peoples preferences for programming are.

When i work i like to have a small tumbler of whiskey with a few rocks of ice in it to sip at, Skull candy head phones on with andy mckee on shuffle. It's quite a relaxing mood. I jsut find programming more enjoyable when relaxed :P

What about you lot?

MacBook Pro running Virtualbox running Windows XP running TeamViewer.
I'll be in school, sitting in the bathroom on my iPhone running Teamviewer.

I do my best thinking in school so why should I waste those time studying boring subject? So I decided to spend those time working on my project :D

Sincerely,
Rithy

I tried that before. I brought in a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and CS5 to DESIGN CLASS because the Power Mac G5 running Tiger and Photoshop CS2 suck. And guess what happen. They took my MacBook Pro and told me the school policy prohibited the use of Computer. American School are stupid.

Then later on, I brought in an iPad to take notes instead of writing it in my notebook and they took it again and say "No Electronic Devices are allowed"

I got those stuff back a day after when my parents came to school. So now, I'm stuck with going to bathroom to use my iPhone.

Sincerely,
Rithy

Eh, let's see usually have a nice cup of tea and some red wine. Usually listening to both my phone's earplugs and my computer's headphone to all kinds of music, sometimes the radio (local radios like Studio Brussels, Radio 538, etc. but also BBC Radio 1). I am also usually talking with people using Skype and MSN (via Pidgin or WLM 2011). Generally have a dual monitor setup with one monitor for socialising (e.g. MSN, Skype, Facebook) and the other for programming (e.g. shells, emulators, utilities, editors). Have my phone at hand to make photos of the results I get from tests I do at real hardware. As for breaks, I usually take some to get food, play a game, etc. That's basically it as for how programming rolls in my case.

Regards,
  Stephan.

Dreamweaver and Steam or Eclipse and Pidgin open if I'm on Window or Linux respictively. Then I'll probably have a mug of freshly ground coffee to keep going through 'till about 6 in the morning. Can't forget Winamp or last.fm either.

When I need a break I'll crack open Minecraft or go to the dangerous world known to most as 'outside'.
