  1. Reminds me of the old nes-style/Ultima rpgs.
  2. The idea of only programmers or artists making a game is incorrect. There are writers, such as myself, but more importantly anyone can be a game designer. Use existing free graphics and music. Create your own story and design your game. Realistically as your first project it is highly unlikely you will get hundreds of players. Make a game, get a player base, then take it from there. Worst case you have several people playing your game; best case you deal with the issue when you have that large of a player base.
  3. Impressive artwork and tileset, Conker.
  4. In full swing of using the editor and finding some bugs. Bugs - Events do not turn towards player when talked to. - Events do not walk in place. Turning on Move Route or unchecking No Walk Animation has no effect. - Variables’ names are not saving. They just erase after you close the Variable Window. - Player Touch on Events do not work. It sets to Action Key still. - Copy-pasting a page in the events are bugged. Doing any editing on one page does it on all copied pages. You have to save map first, then you can edit the page. - Cannot pinpoint this one, but on map event warps sometimes the event gets corrupted and you get random dx error and crash when it warps. - If you have several event pages and delete some in between the beginning and end it starts getting buggy. Event pictures start overlapping and usually results in an error (runtime 9).
  5. @Leosenpai, the paperdoll sprites need to be 3 framed, not 4 framed. The default ones in there are 4 frame. Example: ![](http://i.imgur.com/ZJS3ffo.png)
  6. Sky, great work on this impressive engine. Also thank you for taking time to work on this. The only two issues I have come across is the immense lag when auto-tiling and when aggroing a monster causes it to slide instead of walk.
  7. I am familiar with the graphic pack in the second picture. The Time Fantasy graphic pack is a great pack, but it is missing a variety of decorations, as well as missing a wide variety of monsters until the monster pack is released. Also the TOS might be an issue to consider. I love the pack though, but I would vote for the 1st graphics.
  8. Welcome to the forum! It is great to have another writer interested in game design here. ^_^
  9. I look forward to seeing updates! ^_^
  10. Congratulations, I wish only happiness for you. ^_^
  11. It is an honor to spend another Christmas with such fine and admirable Eclipsians! ^_^
  12. Love the updates on this project. It is my favorite by far. :)
  13. I must admit I had my doubts on how this would work; however, you have proven me wrong. The graphics and style of your game make me want to try this game out. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing more of this game!
  14. I forgot about Basilisk and X. Both a bit depressing, but worth watching at least once.
  15. Congratulations! It is an impressive feat to be so committed to a project. I look forward to seeing it progress more. :)
  16. Great suggestions from everyone. "Another" = Dark Horror, Final Destination the anime. "Berserk" = Dark Action. Still going, but really good and dark. "Elfen Lied" = Dark Slice of Life, has a great ending. "Future Diaries" = Dark Action/Romance. It is depressing; however, has a great ending. "Vampire Knight" = Dark Action/Romance.
  17. Starcraft 1\. The UMS scene was huge back in the day. I grew up playing it everyday after school and built many maps.
  18. Labyrinth Hearts' map size is 30x30, and I found that is a good size to use. Anything bigger has lag issues.
  19. I like it! Graphics are unique, and I want to see more. Keep up the good work!
