luriok
Imo it looks more like the beats….forgot the name... of music playing. You don't have to have so many columns of gold, 1,2 or 3 would be enough. Also try to add a little more shading to the coins, give them a gleam(shine). Lastly, I don't think you want to portray them from a side-portrait, give them some angle (kind of an iso-look would be good)
Infuriated
I'd change the color up, a little brighter and find the sweet spot between yellow and orange to get more of a gold vibe from it. Even if you intend to use them in a darker setting (dungeon or something) it's always good to make dropped items pop from the background (same for sprites). And as Azy suggested, some sheen/glimmering in places can help. As for the perspective I can't really give much critique since I don't know if you're aiming for top-down or from the side. (looking like from the side at the moment)
cheatking
Try making them look like coins too.
Socuine
Agreeing with above replies. It looks like a Equalizer. Try giving your coins a little depth and some better lightning.
lollicat
If you want so many coins, instead of putting them in one row, you could have two shorter stacks in front and three long ones in back.

luriok
Just keep trying, work on your lineart to get the basic shape down, there practice shading it multiple ways.
Draken
you could also try to make a single coin like So![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/8aa50cc05228ba606ddf8c6c48bdf2a1.PNG)or multi stack like so![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/9102b3f2928dcf7cd4cfa4de8555d05b.PNG)both images made in under a min so they are just quick and crappy but just gives you an idea, Point of advice is use circle tool, copy and paste that circle a little above itself giving the visible "sides" with the face of the coin. Wulfie
Looks better, but now you've used gradient, you have to use more contrast in your colors.

Wulfie
You've choosen colors that are horribly similar.
Infuriated
Gradients _basically_ when you go from light to dark smoothly, it doesn't really add much to the lighting or detail.

Jeff
@00GuthixLord:> What does that mean….It means add more contrast. Make your colors more distinct. Also, right now they aren't shaded correctly, they're shaded more like spheres than flat discs.
Lukin
![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/2q1xv0i.png)When you shade an object, you need to think about how the object looks, not just shade from left to right, as that is not how the light would hit it. If it has a certain shape you need to follow that shape. So what I did here is basically following the shape and also having a selective outline based on the color of the coin, not just plain black. You also need to decide where the light is supposed to come from.
