DarkOne5890 Posted August 9, 2012 Author Share Posted August 9, 2012 Well as some of you know I am starting to make GUI's I am just gonna give them away sence I am just starting on making GUI's this is just for people who don't have a GUI of there own or need a new one :) . I will upload all my examples Here sometimes I will make A GUI and change the color etc.With just little stuff changed. Also I will make a sheet with the buttons , and a sheet with the GUI.Also in the buttons shall be the Login ,Register,Credits, The boxes basicly that Go in the BackGroundAlso To use MyGUI you will have to make your buttons appear automatic . Which is a easy edit to the source :) . If u use these please give credit . :cheesy: You don't want to see me in court LOL.>! This is a very simple GUI . Do you know how to read at the end (LOL)(2)I am just making this for practice and I didn't use backgrounds . (3) If you think it is ugly don't use it! Then don't release it to the resource board, put it in the show off board. If something isn't worth using in your own game, don't post it for someone else to use it in theirs. It's more harsh criticism than anything. It could be said in a nicer manner however.And I do agree with General Pony to an extent. I think you need more practice before releasing GUI's. Not that the ones you've released are so awful that you can't look at them, but I think there's definitely room for improvement.A good place to start would be browsing through the show off section of the forums and looking at other GUIs. Use a palette and get a color scheme that compliments the game's graphics. The tutorials section also has some good Photoshop tutorials. Even if you don't use Photoshop, you can still achieve the same or similar effects within Paint.net or GIMP.As General Pony mentioned earlier, start working on the GUI's and post them in the show off board and ask for constructive criticism. Take that and continue to improve. When you start getting a lot of positive feedback, that would be a good time to start releasing some. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ganjika Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 I do already have a sufficientloading screen, and the intro screen is cool too(unless i could find out how to make the login screens "main menu" translucent and maybe in the long run would want to modify the part that says "main menu" even if it wasn't translucent)Would be cool to see either a Papyrus or scroll (an old map look sorta like age of empires 2) themed GUI for everything beyond this login screen which gives a good view of the game as well) and looks like its written on papyrus or a scroll which either covers much of what it could be on and therefor is no background beyond that or is stapled or otherwised 'posted' on a background (a tree background maybe?) or maybe posted to a billboard background while still retaining that natural almost painted or drawn feeling )similiar to the visual feeling of your 'stone' gui setup you show above.I really dig what you did here and Thank You heartily should you choose to help me design an epic GUI for a engine I'm designing (I eventually would like to release a generic version of the finished engine to the community once the crafting system and a few other bugs are worked out - its based on dragon eclipse) - In any case, Everything here looks really cool, Good work..
