I suggest looking up some GUI's on Google Image Search; that'll give you an idea on the direction you ought to go in for your GUI. While this definitely isn't bad for a start, they're not all that good for use in an actual project. Keep practicing and trying, don't let anyone's criticism pull you down–only push you higher! You need the resorces, the tools and the imaginaton to do a GUImy first one, was a little better, but now, i can't say I make perfect GUI's but are looking very good.
