_A Neverwinter Nights Persistent World_

**Foreword-**
Alright, so I've finalized the general design plans for a module idea for Neverwinter Nights. It will sustain a roleplay atmosphere for Eclipse members who enjoy Dungeons and Dragons. Until further notice, the project will not be discussed anywhere else, although upon a release I may promote it on the Neverwinter Nights forums, however until then I'll just contain it here. Regardless of the fact that development has only started recently, I'll keep posting updates and discussion, to keep my motivation strong. I also look forward to seeing some interest from our members. This project for me is mostly for fun, and upon a future release hope to share the experience.

For those who do not own the game, I strongly recommend it. Neverwinter Nights is one of my favorite games of all time, and still today a very popular game, with thousands of varied modules and servers online. With the community expansion packs still in development, content for both players and builders.

**Setting-**
Elandor is a grand continent of many provinces, the northern region of which is separated by a vast river, known as the ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‹Å“Great RiverƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā€žĀ¢. Three major collections of islands also reside around the continent, Plunder Isle, Siren Islands and The Abyss. The provinces that make up Elandor are-
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ AslerokĀ  Coast
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Helmsglade Plains
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Ralok Hills
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Talon Highlands
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Ezmeral Glade
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Ravendel Sands
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Aldervale Marsh
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Illuminar Forests
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Avatari Mountains
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Netherin Valley

Each province has its own hierarchy and laws, many of which sharing similar ideals and customs. However, the Netherin Valley is overwhelmed by chaos and hysteria, and the mountains and abyss are mostly unsettled by civilization, due to their conditions. Four major races have settled and ruled over the provinces. They attempt to maintain order in their civilizations, and all strive to reach various goals, while upholding peace. The races that settle in Elandor are-
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Human ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Å“ The Empire
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Elves ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Å“ The Realm
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Dwarves ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Å“ The Kinship
ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć‚Ā¢ Half-orcs ƃĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Å“ The Clan

_Coastal Province_

Aslerok Coast is a lush rural province, with its western, northern and eastern borders engulfed in beach and cavern. The trade capital, Enharbor resides on the eastern coast. The province is mostly settled by humans, and overall is uninvolved with major conflicts such as war and corruption.

Aslerok is a profitable province, with many caravans and ships going from and to the cities and towns. The geography of Aslerok is misty, lush, and oceanic; consisting of beach, coves, cliffs, farms, grasslands and forests.

Avendock is a small port town on the Azure Coast in Aslerok. It is north of the trade capital, Enharbor. The player begins their adventure here. Upon creating a character, the player wakes up onboard a cargo ship in nothing but rags. A harborman explains that the player was found adrift a keg a league out in the ocean. The player is believed to have been a victim of a shipwreck, after besieged by pirates. However, luckily brought onboard the ship by fair merchants and brought to the peaceful harbor town of Avendock.

Working on a script that allows resting in a certain polygon around the campfire, but no where else.

Alright, finished some nice scripts. Collector quest is fully working (thanks to Balliztik1 for some reviewing), Respawning as well as death penalties are in place, and respawnable encounters and treasure is flawless. For those interested, I'm using the following hakpaks.

Community Expansion Pack
Community Tileset Pack
Community Music Pack
Community Sky Pack

_Lord of Worm's_ Tilesets
TBX Forest Tileset
Aztec Tileset
Classic Dungeon

I was going to use more custom tileset hakpaks, but I cut back as many as I could. The ones I have left have the most flexability. And aside from that, I don't want additional ridiculous download sizes, want to keep it to a minimum so everyone can play. All the community hakpaks, theres a good chance you should have. Especially the expansion. They are required for almost every other module out there.

@Xeross:

> Does one need an actual purchased version of neverwinter nights or are *cough* other *cough* versions also good.

Don't be cheap, the game cost under $20AUD for full version, plus both expansion packs, plus additional premium modules. Then after downloading the community expansion, theres limitless possibilities.

I have a lot of plans to make this world really huge and fun to explore (and some parts dangerous). I'm also making a nice variety of caves and such, some more hidden then others. Currently am working on the coast, next map is on the beach, and will contain the first dungeon. Shipwreck Cove.

Sigh. He will be too lazy to google it so I'll tell him. NwN is a D&Dlike game. It has dungeons, the same stat systme, same class systme, feats ect. It is basicly D&Do just not online all of the time. Unlike D&DO, you play on a single storyline. So you start a game, pick a campain, then you play though that. You can get other quests while doing it and explore while doing it.

The entire mechanics are completely based on DnD 3.5 rules. It's also online, and I wasn't sure where else to put such a topic.

Been working on Azure Coast. It's still a Work in Progress, however I've got a nice amount done. Heres some screenshots, including of the first decent sized dungeon I'll work on. Shipwreck Cove.
