youre not going ot find "user friendly" in the world of 3D games… atleast, not in any good 3D games. 3D is like taking 2D, and multiplying it by 360, adding 4 to it, taking the sum, and then killing an illegal immigrant. its just not easy stuff. 3D takes hard, gruelling work to crank out anything special. if youre really looking to do 3D, then using a complicated engine, taking a long time to learn how to use it is your best bet. I highly suggest UDK. once again, no 3D is a walk in the park, or as simple as 2D. its not simple a different style of game, its like a whole staircase away. UDK. mmk?

You're asking for a lot. To be honest if you think these are confusing, you're not right to make 3D games.

Gamemaker's original mplay system (for Gamemaker 6) had a very good shooter engine.  It's actually what was used to make that Counterstrike 2d.

If you have a registered copy of Gamemaker 6, I have the old mplay engine for it somewhere, as the newer mplay for GM7/8/ doesn't have that feature, I don't believe.
But yeah, I think there was a 3d shooting system as well as the 2d that you see in Counterstrike 2d.

Easily one of the best engines out there for any FPS/action-oriented game.

UDK = Unreal Development Kit; updated constantly by Epic Games (yes, THE Epic Games Studios), and they used this to make the Unreal Tournaments. (This is really just the Unreal Engine + a fucking insane development kit added on.) tons of legit blockbuster games have been made with Unreal Engine, so this is pretty much as good as it gets for pre-made fps engines, AND IT'S FREE!!!

> Monkey, you obviously have no desire to spend some time making this game.

Robin, I obviously would prefer to have a somewhat easier way to make it, taking 6 months to one year, then having to spend 8 years of my life, just to learn how to use the software, and another 2 to make the game.

Just use Game Maker 7, and Look at the Shot Gun Fun Fun File Release for zombies/better features.

We all get that, but we're showing you the easiest of all the engines and you want something easier. You're gonna have to put a little bit more into it.

Or game maker 6.1 Because it's easier to use. All you need to do is have logic and shit.

Dude, we've linked you to the easiest to learn ones around and you opened it up, complained about it being too complicated and asked for something easier.

If you couldn't be bothered to spend a few minutes getting to know the engine you obviously don't have 6 months to make something from it.

No, I learned Adventure. It seem's alright, might try the others before I start with it though.
