edited the scimitar again.  I think it looks a lot better.
Added Shield.  I dont know why, but whenever I try to change something it either looks really breezish or overly dithered, any advice?

Guys… stop it. I realise adding smart and fancy sounding words to your toppic's name seems like a fine idea but it would defenetly work better to just call the toppic "two pixel swords" - it would be informative and people would adjust their expectations. Use the name for thigns - that's how communication works.

I'm assuming you used Kreator's tutorial?

I think they need more contrast and definition.

The scimitar's design is very flawed, as the hilt design is not ergonomic at all (you'd injure yourself trying to use a scimitar with that handle). The little knob at the end of the hilt is going the wrong way, as holding the sword with the blade-side outward, that knob would be smashing into your wrist and lower arm. If you flipped it around so it pointed outward and down (down-right instead of up-left), then it would work; although you should also add a proper hilt guard to the handle as well.

Yes kusy, i probably should've named it that.  I'll be adding lots more soon though, which i think is better than having like 2 topics a week with pixel art in them.  and yes, i used kreator's tut.
Anna:  Thanks for the advice on the scimitar.  I agree with u in the flawed design, and i'll see what i can do.  and did u mean the blade was wrong too, or just the hilt?

You see how, in the scimitar, there is a pattern of two pixels then one, then two then one? That's uneven and makes the lineart suffer. Try to even it out with a series of straight lines. For example, five sets of two pixels, then a diagonal line. It creates the same effect in a better way, and evens it out.

Good job with the first sword, the blade is nicely done.
It could still be improved though, it looks blunt.

^ Let's be fair… it looks like a wooden toy sword. It's nothing wrong as long as your game is going to be toyish or whateverish... but if you are aiming at some level of realism, it's wrong.

I have to agree, it is kind of a disappointment when I think of portfolio I think of a whole bunch of art with ranges of styles and looks. You should make some more before post something like that…
