Game play is going to be simple, your a bug, you kills stuff for food, you use food to buy better body upgrades ( Yes its an evolution game)These tiles and sprites only took me like a hour to make so they are not the best but I like them so im going to keep them LOL.Basic Tile test and sprite test.>! A Map (all tiles are not made yet and omg its so easy to map this game, how hard is it to just lay grass resources and maybe a rock or 2 randomly. and a hole in the ground :P )>! First Set Of Jaws>! 5/15/11 ( Body upgrades / jaws and tails ) This game is looking more and more strange LOL>! 5/16/11 I finished all body parts heres something you could look like after you buy some upgrades>! 5/17/11 Did not do much work yesterday was in a terrible suicidal mood again. Any ways I did start work on some of the tiles. I do not have any flowers in the screen shot just the new ground and a hole which Ill be changing again. Also has another example of the Body parts :P>! Another update, Redid the hole tiles to make it look like a hill kinda, and added flowers.(this is the Red Nest which is the NPC Team. they will attack on sight)>! All Item Graphics(paperdoll and icons) are now finished Heres all the brown Icons I didnt post the other colors since they look the same just a diffrent color LOL>! Map 6 Green nest entrance>! Finished example of a nest map the blue egg things are the evolution shops where players can buy their body upgrades. little light circle is the way up to the surface.>! This will have a 3-4 layer world meaning Top layer is the one you see in the screen shot The Yard, There will be a system that make it so you can dig a hole down and will warp to the next layer under it which will be the first level of underground.Also forgot to say there is one NPC Group they are Bright Red.Mainly want this to work so there will be huge player made "Nest" since your starting nest will have the shop to buy your body upgrades.Gotta also fix the bound item to players, apparently its not working. Draken Posted May 13, 2011 Author Share Posted May 13, 2011 Yea Im waiting on the source edits but was thinking the same about the names, might just remove the npcs names.Also im using 2.6 Nova the one with the pet system, was thinking maybe after a certain level adding some type of bug pet like a larva, maggot or something to that effect.Only sources I really need isResources can be walked on after choppedSet which class the NPCs will not attack ( So if your class one and the npc is set to not attack class 1 then they wont)And Fix the Bound Item to player on pick up system. Plans are 4 diffrent types of grass and flipping them horizontally to make a total of 8 diffrent types of grass.Then Gotta make a few Large Rocks / Mushrooms maybe about 3-4 of eachThen Just the Underground tiles which is just pathways which is super easy to make.Also I finished all the jaws, tails, and body types. Going to change them from Trees to Gathering, You will receive Grass from the grass, and Either a Leaf, Seed, or flower peddle from the flowers depending on your Skill level.Grass, leaf, seed, and flower peddle can be Sold to a shop in side your teams Food Chamber for Food Points, Spend the Food points on body upgrades, Pets or a heal potion(food)Only graphics left to do, Might Double the Equipment for the bugs, Do a Recolor on all the equipment for the other teams. Do under ground Tiles, And a few Rocks for the Yard.I also made it so the world is 5x5 40x40 maps So not to large but if you keep walking in one direction it will keep warping you all the way around the world. Draken Posted May 25, 2011 Author Share Posted May 25, 2011 Last night after karaoke I added graphics for 5 more body types, 5 more tail types, 5 more jaw types and 5 more claws. Making a total of 10 each now :). So there is now 40 pieces of "Equipment" per "bug team".Added a Queen and started working on the Brown Nest maps. Also Got the brown Nest Shop/Evolution station set up. Sell grass, seed, leaf, peddle, and Meat at the evolution station for Food points which you use for the body parts. Going to add the pets in soon also going to add in a "Food station" which will sell HP potions.Really need a coder for the faction system and to fix the Cant drop bound items. Was thinking it over and decided not to make the tunnel system like I was planing. Instead each nest will be 9 maps well 10 if you count the top of the nest thats outside. You will be able to go down into the ground 3 levels.Kinda like this[ Yard ][Level1] (entrance and evolution stations All NPCs will be Guards)[Level2] (This level will be full of Attack on Sight no mater if they are your team or not they will attack you) Or at least until the factions system is done.[Level3] (This level will be full of Attack on Sight no mater if they are your team or not they will attack you) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
