Viral Dragon
Ok so,After a bit of having made my game and what not, I've been trying to convert it to Java, which isgoing rather well actually. Well anyway, I decided to open up the vb version again, to make minor changesto the gameplay and quests.Well sure enough something goes wrong. I open the server, and I try connecting with my client.I can't. It says it's down. It's not.So, I make sure it's allowed through my my firewall, and my AV defense settings and what not.I made sure the port was forwarded, I used canyouseeme.org and it says the server is up.Funny enough, I still can't connect. ._. Dunno why, it's not an error either. I already tried a debugcheck.Anyone have any ideas?-Viral.
PD
Check the config.ini file and make sure the IP and Port values are correct.
Viral Dragon
Zesh,I've done this. Ive also used the source edit found here on the forums for the static IP and Portas well. Neither of them work.-Viral.
Viral Dragon
Can I get a quick bump? Lol.Things I've tried/done:Made sure port is fwd'ed correctly.Know the server is up (even with CYSM.org)It's allows through my firewall/avNo bugs in either server or client.I downloaded a old client i had uploaded, it still didn't work.I tried using the static IP/PORT mod on these forums.I tried using the regular config.ini settings.I tried setting it localhost and 127.0.0.1I downloaded a fresh client.None of that worked, so does anyone have a suggestion I could try?-Viral. Viral Dragon
Erwin,That's pointless to almost all extents. I only bump it because it's either been a dayor more than a day, with no reply. Editing, doesn't bump it to the top or mark it as "new".-Viral. Ruins of Hell
Your client does not have firewall access. I can't think of any other explaination.
Viral Dragon
Soul;I have tried time and again, and I mean I have tried literally a multitude of things. I have giventhis thing access to everything. Ive checked, double checked and triple checked everything. There isnothing blocking it, that I can see. I disabled my FW, I disabled my AV. I uninstalled them both.I tried running as admin, I made sure the port was open and allowed. I tried running localhost.I made sure the server is up.I made sure the config was right. Everything. I have tried it all time and again, and I made sureto retry it, before coming here. ._.I'm literally baffled, as to what I'm doing wrong. I've even tried a fresh client. ._.-Viral. BleachFan101
Have you tried taking it from a different angle, something similar happened to me before while back, but it had something to do with the code.
Viral Dragon
BleachFan,It wouldn't be a coding problem, if I downloaded fresh client/server.-Viral.
