Doesn't look like a forum logo, looks more like a logo you would see in an MMORPG. If there was a tab on an MMORPG menu called "Regular Chatting", this would be at the top.

> I would have to see your forum layout to critique whether you made a good choice of color's or not. They look good as of right now, stand alone.

Thank you, i will post my site in the websites section when i am finished; so mabe you can critique it better then ;).

@Kreator:

> Definitely looks like a forum logo to me. Good choice of colours, seems to symbolise both sexes, and has a modern feel.

Thank you kreator :), at least someone notices what i was trying to do there :P.

@Eckhart:

> Also, the blue needs more shine at the top. Pink is shinier than the blue one right now.

Thank you for this CC, ill work on that now. Thanks for pointing that out :)!

So you're sayimg you wouldnt recognise that from a distance? I know plenty of successful businesses that only use text as a form of logo. In my opinion, a logo is just something that you can visually register as symbolising a specific product. If I saw the forum, then 2 weeks later saw the logo as an advertisment; it would seem familiar and I would be aware that it belongs to a product I have already seen.

I really like it, as Kreator said, it symbolises both genders, its vibrant and well designed.

If I saw it now, and I saw just the R and the C with the design it has now, I'd definitely be able to tell it was for Regular Chatting. Therefore, logo. It has two colors, blue, and pink.

Logo:_noun_, Also called logotype. a graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition.

I guess I will reiterate myself. Logos, while they are sometimes just text have to be recognizable from a distance. Another really important aspect to a logo is that if you were to make it a solid color it should still be readable. If you want inspiration this website has a ton of professional logos on it.

All I'm trying to do is help you out :)
