  5. You should put some consideration to adding borders next time for your sigs.
  6. There's tons of tutorials and examples out there for you to learn from. I suggest learning at least some basic design techniques since Web Development these days rely heavily on visual design. ;)
  7. Been working on the sprites for my game(mostly just concept atm) and finished one of the few classes that'll be available. Overall, it's so so for me…some stuff I could have done to improve it but I'll fix it later until it's time to start animating and finalizing the CG concept art I'll be drawing to go along with it. This is the Valkyrie class. Of course, you can see there was some inspiration for the design from VP. Theme was snow/ice etc. Not much to say on inspiration, just whatever popped in my head. Took me a lot longer to finish this one until I was happy for some reason; 7 hours start to finish. _Edit: Good god was the end piece of the staff ugly..thats what I get for doing it at 6am…changed it into something more tolerable..._ ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/CitoCide/tempest_sprite-1.png) I'm planning to do a turn-based style MMO similar to the old school FF games. I'll be adding more classes in the future.

    Website layout

    It's still a work in progress imo and could be fine with some changes. You sacrifice too much space for your navigation due to the size of your buttons and the sizes of your footer and header leaving not a lot of content space. Scale down some stuff, clean up the little white stuff on your graphics and reorganize your regions and it should look a little better. Another tip is that you could separate your regions with some margins and add borders to them like you did with your top buttons instead of straight edge cutaways.
  17. I think the new perspective is an improvement, you should definitely go for it for your interior. It feels like there's a lot more space and less confined even though there's no door yet. xD
  18. I see a lot of people wondering how the background will turn out when coded, no worries, I edited the image so the repeat is barely noticeable. Still making changes while coding the basic stuff out so thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do. I also plan to incorporate some jQuery after finishing a project for a class that required it to spice the site up a bit.

I'm no expert in anatomy but I can point out a few things for ya that could help. :embarrassed: Your forearms are a little rectangular, it should have some curvature, getting a little skinnier around the wrists. Torso could use work but I'm pretty sure you know that. Other than that, it looks fine. I'm sure with practice and reference you'll do good.

I think Rory means that hop animations need more than just 2 frames for it to actually look like a hop. Right now, it just looks like the sprite is teleporting up and down. Try adding like, the sprite bending its knees before it jumps and when it lands to make it more convincing.

  23. This is a mock layout of a site I plan to do for my project in photoshop. There's still a lot that needs to be done but I think you get the basic idea. :embarrassed: A lot of things are still subject to change so I was wondering what you guys think before I start cutting this up and coding it into an actual site. Content area is just a placeholder..so keep that in mind. :S

    Mapping: Forest

    Yeah you could use more trees. You can add more trees sticking out to the sides of your map without sacrificing too much viewing space.
