  1. I had xp on my tower until september when it crashed to death. I installed 7 after that and it's been perfect. No bsods, turned the "extra security" off 'cause it's useless, ect. I still keep xp on my laptop for older games. My girlfriend, however, managed to triple boot xp, 7 and linux on her netbook, then didn't understand why two operating systems wouldn't load and the third ran like crap. (Seriously… it's a netbook. It's barely ment to run ONE operating system, much less three.)
  2. I can't stand touch pads… they're horrible for gaming, and if you don't realize that you have an extra finger touching the very edge of the pad, you can't move the pointer. I use a wireless minimouse for my laptop. I did however have a friend who was almost unbeatable at half-life, unreal tournament and starcraft while using a touch pad... it was creepy...
  3. I pitched a similar idea to marsh and renzo about a month ago. They've agreed on my initial ideas, but we haven't really started yet. I'd be happy to join any other community projects in the mean time.
  4. Arbutus is missing… that's what I would have chosen ...although arbutus only grows naturally in the gulf islands...
  5. On a related, but slightly off-topic note, my favorite boss in all the games is Bongo-bongo in the Shadow Temple in Ocarina of Time… dear god is he ever fun...

    Nintendo Wifi

is this on your wii or ds? if it's on your wii, just go to internet options on your wii, then go new connection, choose a connection, detect connection, then it will just search for all open access points. just select yours off of a list and done. I don't think the wii supports wireless access points with passwords, which really sucks. if you're using the ds, hell if I know, I don't have a DSi. if your question wasn't answered, press the pound key for more options.

  9. jesus… rednecks are so goddamn stupid...
  10. @Nightblast: > Which reminds me, I need help in the forest temple, I have the bow, and have killed 2 of the poe sisters. BUT now I'm being brutally murdered by wall masters. > > What do I do to kill them? just run in circles watching their shadows. When the shadow gets as large as it can, it'll stop following you and drop. then just slash at it 3 or 4 times and it's dead. oh, and you get a red rupee from it.
  11. apparently, the photos are over a long exposure time, which explains why they're a hundred times bigger.
  12. I'd actually have to say the opposite of anna. I loved the magic system in morrowind, even more than oblivion for enchanting, but I hated the battle system for morrowind and loved it in oblivion.

    Help!!

also, set the ip to 127.0.0.1 if you're running the client and the server on the same computer.
  14. One thing I didn't like about Morrowind (that they definitely improved in oblivion) is archery. Ranged attacks in Morrowind were horrible unless you had pinpoint accuracy and had the skill maxed out from the start. My brother tried using it once with an untrained character and it took about 10 shots to kill a mudcrab, and over 100 shots to kill a bandit (he had a pemanant featherfall and jump bonus of 50 so he could continually keep out of the guys reach.)
  15. I've played most of them, but I'd have to say my favorites are: 1.)Ocarina of Time (N64) 2.)Majora's Mask (N64) 3.)A Link to the Past (SNES) 4.)Legend of Zelda (NES) 5.)…tough call... probably one of the gameboy ones... actually, yeah. #5 is a tie-up between Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, both for the gameboy colour.

    L.A.R.P

has anyone here seen the move "Role Models"? Those guys show you how to really LARP. Seriously though, I looked into it a few years ago, but it just seemed to childish. I'd much rather play dnd with a bunch of friends, not dressed up and only in character about a tenth of the time. But that's just me.
  17. I'm still surprised my speed code worked. Can't wait to test it out myself.
  18. I never really used mods for morrowind. I enjoyed that game more without them, though I always ended up going into the world editor and messing with stuff. For a long time I tried to make my own island to have quests and stuff on, but I was young and had no idea how to do anything. I did, however, use a shit-tonne of mods on oblivion.

    Warlords

I had a demo cd with warlords battlecry 3 or something… good game, except it was a demo.

  21. reminds me a little bit of Little Fighter 2…

    My C++ Game

hey, pretty good. I like this. the only thing I'd suggest is to switch the first and last rows so that it matches up with the numpad on a computer.

    Borderlands

Live? You mean xbox live? I'm sorry, I don't own an xbox. I'm a nintendo/ps2 fan and can't stand console shooters.

    Borderlands

I'll have to agree with hippoman. I didn't even know it existed until about 3 days before it came out, and I only knew that from a sidebar advert on a webpage. As for the graphics, I enjoy them. Cell shading may look cartoony, but it seems to work for this game. You (Kusy) may not like it, but that doesn't mean that other people shouldn't like it. TF2 looks like a cartoon too (it doesn't have the cell shading but it doesn't need it) and people play that all the time. As for the repetition, I'd say it has about as much repetition as diablo or d2\. It may get boring after a while, but there are so many skill and weapon combinations that you shouldn't get bored unless you're a twitchy counter-strike-esk player who goes apeshit if he doesn't kill something every 5 seconds. The multiplayer is done pretty well, 'cept for the fact that everyone I play with is a dick and complains about how you're supposed to play the game, either through what mission to do next, or what the best character combo is (it doesn't matter what the best is, it matters what's fun). The locations do get a bit repetitive after Rust Commons, but I challenge you to find a game that doesn't get a bit repetitive after half the game in this market. The story is remenicent of Treasure Island for me, and as long as you actually read the mission statements, it's not "lacking" at all. Most people just go to every mission, kill whatever's there, then get the reward, not actually taking the time to figure out what's going on, expecting the storyline to be given to them on a silver platter. Hell, if the storyline was given in cutscenes instead of mission statements and voice recorders, you'd just skip them anyways. Oh, and who cares if there's a non-skippable cutscene at the very start? It's like 2 minutes, and sets the tone pretty damn well.

    Borderlands

My god, I haven't stopped playing this game for any reason other than food, sleep and weed since I got it…
