1. Its a bot because of signature, gamertag & steam id. Reported user.
2. EO 2.0 is most stable and there are tons of good and easy tutorials to follow for extra features, so you get the best of both worlds. Robs engine may become official soon tho since he's winning developer position which can lead to a dev team working on it and making it the official supported version. Avoid any other version in the custom version board.
3. So many custom versions, so few applicants… I wonder why? Maybe it's because half of the custom versions are EO w/ added tutorials... hmmm
4. > Humble Bundle 7 better have some good "moda fuking" games. The THQ pack is the first time it contains real big titles (well u know what i mean). Past bundles contained small indie games or android apps. THQ is going bankrupt so they needed this to survive. I don't think humble bundle 7 will have another big company giving away their games like this. It was rly a last resort thing for THQ. They made more money from humble bundle (which allows for 1$ donations) than they did selling Red Faction Armageddon (at 20$). > There have been atleast 6 this yer…. > > Others to look out for include: [Indie royal](http://www.indieroyale.com/) and [Indie Gala](http://www.indiegala.com/) Those are not from the Humble Bundle team

> Well, that's why it needs to be modular and not "dump everything into this one solution". Godlord made it modular later on but EE had bad code anyway so you couldn't see any speed difference tbh. It's much better to learn vb instead anyway cause those scripts couldn't do everything.

> A quick search didn't pull up anything aside from this topic. I use to be mod of the scripting board and I would post scripts that people would copy + paste at the bottom of their main.txt file and the feature would be fully implemented. It eventually made a huge main.txt which was very slow.
7. > Thanks for sharing, what a bargain! Np. Happens once a year. Last time it was an Android app bundle. Cant wait to see humble bundle 7 ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//tongue.png)
8. I've had exactly 1$ on paypal for awhile and didn't know what to do with it. But along comes humble bundle with a great bundle. If you don't know what humble bundle is; it's a charity event where you pay an amount between 1$ and whatever you wish to donate, and you get a bundle of games. **Games you get for donating**: Saints Row - The Third Darksiders Metro 2033 Red Faction - Armageddon Company of Heroes Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts Company of Heroes - Tales of Valor [https://www.humblebundle.com/](https://www.humblebundle.com/) You choose how much you donate and where the money goes. You can put some of the money towards charity, THQ or tip the humble bundle guys.
9. Check for the Projectile system in source tutorials. It allows u to make ranged items with different ranges between them and stuff.
10. Me having an orgasm. Lol nah i dunno what was so funny ![](http://i50.tinypic.com/o9qn3r.jpg)
11. Ya i think i missed understood what he did there. Forget what i said.
12. You dont portforward the 192.168.1.100, thats ur local router ip. Go to www.whatsmyip.org to see the real ip to portforward

14. Damn marshy has a game project ![:o](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//ohmy.png) The only thing i ask is that you dont do like gay facebook games where u help them pull weeds from their farm and u earn money. Its rly dumb and the games are controlled by the money.
15. Well regardless, I think it's cool that your staff can showcase your games together. I suggest maybe having a "Game showcase of the week" or something. This way, if players always play 'The tower' but do not know of other glaciate games, they can see it and start playing those as well. It would help share the playerbase amongst the games in the platform. That would also become a selling point for projects to join. They would maybe get showcased and get a few players. (In exchange for a higher profit %)
16. You did say 70 to 90%. I just didnt quote it, but I read it above. So thats 10 to 30% of their profits (if any). I know that they don't all have profits. But whether they do, or they don't, i just couldn't find the benefits of the platform for them. I do see the benefits for the games of the glaciate staff. 10 to 30% of profits is quite aggressive because, as you know, games struggle making any profits in the first place. > I'm only offering it to share with anybody else who would _wish_ to. I know. That's why I was asking: What are the reasons why people would want to. I think you may have taken my post as some sort of attack. I just wanted to know what advantage a project would get for joining. The selling points. I still don't feel like you've answered that. And even if the answer is "None", I still think it's cool that you have a platform for Glaciate staff games.
17. The idea is great. The UI looks great too. The issue is, if your going for small dev games like eclipse, rpgmaker, game maker or any sort of 2d game: why would they join you? Your platform does not offer any advantage except for maybe the transaction part (costs hundreads of dollars for SSL encryption for transactions). If you make transactions on paypal though, then anyone else can do that too. Any eclipse games can set up a paypal payment system. So in that case they have no reason to join this platform. Infact they would lose 10-30% of profits. Could you explain what advantages the platform would give games and why such aggresive prices for a platform trying to compete with steam greenlight?
18. Unless you plan on paying money, you will never get 6 good programmers. You will be lucky to even get one free one that is talented.
19. Dx7 is only graphics. So unless his Auction House has some kind of crazy visual i dont know about, then it should work in any Dx7 version. Look for a tutorial or just rip the code from a dx8 engine who has this feature. Again, Dx is only graphics. Drawing stuff on your screen you know?
20. The auction house is possible on Dx7\. However, Semi-Transparent trees is only on Dx8. Dx8 takes care of graphics and gives certain functionalities like transparency, particle effects, changing the HUE etc. If you wish to keep those functions, use a Dx8 engine from the Custom Versions board. Otherwise, say good bye to those features.
21. attacker and victim is usually used in pvp. in CanNpcAttackPlayer, there is only the player (index) and the npc. try replacing 'attacker' with 'index' everywhere in that code. (i see it atleast twice)

Well if it's decided by the admins the same way moderators were picked, anything goes. Best of luck.

See your reading what you want to read. You said "Don't see it winning". Why even participate with that kind of attitude. Why even submit it if you think it won't win. I just can't wrap my head arond your logic. It has nothing to do with your invested time or effort. If someone thinks his work is not good enough, why would he want to be dev. And why would the community want him as a dev for that matter.

> duck it, I'll submit Eclipse Mega if I can for this contest. Don't see it winning but doesn't hurt to see. That's the right attitude for a dev.
25. Breeze lacks monsters. They have less than a handful.
