    AGDQ2015

So, unless you are living under a rock, you may have heard of AGDQ - Awesome Games done Quick. It's a yearly event where people from everywhere come together to speedrun games, speedrunning games means you are finishing the game as quickly as possible, and they do this several days in a row, for a good cause, they are collecting money for different organizations, this year they are collecting for Prevent Cancer Foundation. I recommend you check it out, it has some amazing moments where they really break your favorite games from your childhood. [https://gamesdonequick.com/](https://gamesdonequick.com/) Also if you're more of a memelord, it's the perfect place to keep up with the newest memes!
  2. I can stand behind this. Not biased.
  3. 3 potatoes linked to a toaster, running Ubuntu and maxes out all games.
  4. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to make threads about how I need to head to the shop or how hungry I am. I see your point, however, the discussions in the shoutbox doesn't really fill enough purpose for threads, so a possible side effect is that the shoutbox disappears, and no new threads are made as compensation because there's really nothing worth making them for, and in the end it will just seem like an even deader place. Edit: I just realised how biased I look.
  5. > big question for you though, how could this be a profession? Not trying to crush any dreams just curiocity about where one would apply for a paying job as a online moderator. its VERY easy to find unpaid moderators and its moderatly difficult to find good unpaid moderators but both dont take that much effort. Big companies hire Community managers, they get paid to manage the community on a large basis, however, there's very few jobs for this, and a lot of potential candidates.
  6. Seems like some of these bugs could be fixed by clearing your Cache, which most browsers doesn't do automatically when it closes, for some reason, I do not remember receiving any of these errors.
  7. Could be the new theme that needs polishing.
  8. I'll spend most of the day walking around naked in my apartment.
  9. It was cancelled, most likely because Eclipse is no longer a business like it was before, so Yukiro have no way of paying Jcsnider to work on the engine, which was actually further away from being done than you seem to think. Since Jcsnider choose to keep his code for himself, since that was the deal all along, that the engine was supposed to be Closed Source, he has all right to completely cancel it without releasing anything. To be honest, since Amish was already low on funds for it, it might have ended the same way eventually anyway. Luckily for us, there is (yet) another engine being worked on, aside from the continuous work on Origins, there is now Lunar Eclipse, a new engine made in C# by the new volunteer developers, which both seem very competent thus far, however, I wouldn't' expect anything worthwhile for a couple of months, since it's a project that they are working on their spare time.

    > Is Magic hard to get into? > > > > I was thinking about starting. I play magic rather casually, it's fun, for the most part you will be fine with an Event deck, which is like an introduction deck, but it doesn't suck as much. Depending on the level of play you are refering to, it can be really easy, to wallet bursting, but unless you are aiming for top tier competitive games, you should be fine, also, avoid Legacy, play Standard format, it's cheaper, and it's more fun in my own opinion, cards are always in print, and it changes more, and feels more balanced.
  12. > If I follow this guide I will be able to make successful games and be famous for that, like you, right? No.
  13. > i cant imagine how much time you need to write all of this! good job xel! I am not done yet, but when I originally posted it, and it only took 3 hours or something, it's not that much. > I didn't read everything but from what I can tell this has some nice information. I'll be sure to read more in time and I hope you continue to keep updating this. Thanks, if you find anything in there that you feel is not right, tell me so I can look into it, many parts of it is written at 2am, so it wouldn't be odd if I had ended up talking about something completely off topic all of the sudden.
  14. Long time since I took me by the neck to work on this, wrote a few pieces, they're not up to par with the rest, but I will edit it later on next best occasion.
  15. I listen to erotic audio recordings, does that count?
  16. Scripting. Auto updating recent posts.
  17. > I just thought i would ask if there is any news when eo4 4.3 will be due for release? i dont wana spend months building a game in the wrong engine :D Don't worry, the engine is backwards compatible, so you can start in 4.2 right now, and it will be compatible with 4.3, and onwards _most likely_.
  18. I think that providing a way to host your server on a VPN like previously offered is a good idea, and will bring in some income if the price is right, as well as donations, I believe selling virtual files like these are rarely a good idea.
  19. I must say that I agree with Spike on this, throwing banter is very natural for most humans, and that right should not be taken away, however I believe that there must be a line somewhere to a point where it's no longer okay, and that line is very hard to draw, since everyone is different, both the victim, as well as the offender of the banter, and of course of those who judge it(admins/mods), causing it to be a rather complicated and sensitive thing. Spike is on the right track, however I hope with the new owner, as well as a bit of new staff will change this for the better, and prove Spike wrong eventually.
  20. Well that's great news, great initiative.
  21. Yeah I was refering to the servers. Are the developers working for free, or are you paying them from your own pocket?
