  1. How many colors are used it that one?..
  2. More fun to have a 100% original game, can even make money of that, if the sprite you are currently using isn't free to use for commercial uses that is.

You have done a gradient without thinking of how the blade is actually made, it is not just a normal flat blade on a sword, it has curves. so you should focus on where the blade starts to curve down to the edge and whatnot. Made a short edit of your sword, it has selective outline to make it stand out, I also thought of how the sword is shaped. ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/a8bb2f4cdd87378115b97517342fdd05.png)
  4. Stava, as that is not their sprite I figure they might do one in the future, so basing the palette on the temporary one might not be the best thing to do.
  5. I like the grass and sand, the stone tile however is very repetitive. You also have two stumps but the right one just looks like a version of the left one with less contrast and grey. you could make a transition between the cave entrance too. Trees seems very small and the shadow won't blend with the darker grass tile, the size might be what you are looking for but then you will need very tiny sprites. So basically, fix stone and trees and make a transition to the and it will be awesome.
  6. In the new one I can see a grid. :(
  7. It did not rhyme. At all. :( And keep up the derp work Smore.

Would only recommend the cliff wall section, but use it as a stone ground tile. >.> Tree: [http://www.firefruitforge.com/?tutorials/Pixel_Art/19-Pixel%20Art%20-%20Tree](http://www.firefruitforge.com/?tutorials/Pixel_Art/19-Pixel%20Art%20-%20Tree) Other GOOD tutorials: [http://www.firefruitforge.com/?tutorials/Pixel_Art/](http://www.firefruitforge.com/?tutorials/Pixel_Art/)
  9. He seems to know what a light source is if you read his post. Anyway.. You got some pillow shading on that blade, and the handle is not symmetrical, and it looks like it should be in this case. the handle is shaded good although you should have more contrast. I'm also not sure where your light source is, from the top or? I usually go upper right, as when you got a light source from the side it usually helps and it also makes it more interesting to look at imo. I did an edit of your sword, I changed the colors, so it has more contrast, it also has an outline which helps it stand out, the outline is also affected by the light source. (which I did upper right), I made the handle symmetrical and with a smaller handle as yours was very big and would be hard to hold. I'd recommend you use a light gray background when working as when you have white it's easy to make it too bright and it wont stand out in the game as much. ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/ht8sow.png)
  10. I like it. xD Although the blood seems VERY red and isn't shaded.

    NED Project GFX

I like the GUI although could have the text a bit more brighter to stand out. I also like the grass tile, not sure if it does tile but yeah.
  12. I always find it funny when people say that people shouldn't claim it as their own work, when the one actually giving it out is not giving out their "work", but the artists work. Aaanyway… Good job I guess? o-o
  13. Well if they were in the left hand while facing down, it would be pointing to the right as that is the persons left then, and while facing up it would be facing left, so yeah.. This is not right. Need one for each direction and you need to decide what hand he's gonna hold it with, and don't switch when he's facing other directions.
  14. So uhm.. Why do they hold the staff up when facing front, and then tilting it when they are walking the other ways?
  15. Considering this will only be an image, I don't see why you can't have transparency.
  16. The trouble? I'd say it's more to help him see how big his tiles are when making them. Although the way he has done it now, they wont be able to be used in a game with tiles and still look the same as when there is a black outline around all of them, there will be a 2 pixel line around everything instead of one.
  17. Maybe. Although it wouldn't hurt trying it out to see what it would look like.
  18. Looks nice so far. Although the fence doesn't seem to go straight, keeps on going up a pixel or so after a while to the left. And I'm still not sure about the lowered dirt tile right by the water, seems like either the water would have flowed down into the hole, or that grass would have grown over it. Water hole by the stones seems kind of squarish too compared to your other water tiles.
  19. You could remove the black lines to see if it tiles well, and the tile closest to the bottom seems very squary with the water there. Unless you're going for something Minecraft like I'd suggest making transitions between higher and lower levels too.

    Optimized GUI

Looks good and simple. I'd remove the white behind the ping though.
  22. I don't see what Bloodmorphed did to "trash" his work. Anyway, I guess you could continue with your style with stuff like random lightsources, but I'm just saying that people might take notice while playing the game and they might think it's strange.
  23. @Niko: > ive been around way too long to let a post on a forum (especially this one) make me cry. Also especially when the person bashing my art creates beautiful imagery such as this: > ![](http://bpprojects-i.com/blood2.jpg) I have not made that and I have never seen it either. More like this: (Keep in mind most of this is old) ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/Contestthingy-1.png) ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/wb51k6.png) ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/tilesetWIP3.png) ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/tilesetWIP4.png) ![](http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo216/LukinT1/CrystalStaff.png) And the reason why I said "good enough?" was because you said "tons of awesome feedback i see." when I said I only thought the grass looked good.
  24. You post a topic with your work and you don't expect people to tell you what they think? Then why bother posting it at all?.. And for a cartoon game with no sun it is strange that some things do look like you have a sun then. You also said "tons of awesome feedback i see." which makes me assume you want me to specify why I only thought the grass was good and the rest was not. And sure, you can pixel the way you want, but if you want to improve and make a game some people might want to play, then you could always take the advice given to you. Good day to you sir.
