  1. @Apple: > I do. > I just don't color. Then why make a tile set?, it won't have much use without color, way I see it.
  2. The billboard "posts" aren't equal size, when colored the street lines will be annoying to look at, idk if it's just me but the bricks seem inconstant when they join the building, and I think the lines for the roof on the building aren't straight.
  3. Looking at my old work, I have noticed that the size is too small for the current size of things; heres a redo of my old wood post, C&C please. ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/e757a4500b33e97273e2a2363257a9f8.png) someone said the border was a bit too much; here is a new one: ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/1fbe6af5b83d4b57c984821a3825e591.png) the top started to annoy me; ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/64ab067f574e86b66acb971a94d67359.png)
  4. Here, I tried going for lighter colors, Should I add more overall contrast, or go for a darker look? ![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/f8e1be6a6a182ac175e64880b46afe11.png) I don't think the lighter fits with the style of the rest of the graphics, I think ill stick with the original
  5. @Frostyy: > Top one is decent but needs some pallette changing, bottom one is subpar. Thank's, ill do some palette changes, and try a few different styles tomorrow and post my results.
  6. Re visiting my grass attempts: ![](http://gameitgames.com/dukandia/terrain/[ice]%20tall%20grass%202(improved%20ur%20fix).png) ![](http://gameitgames.com/dukandia/terrain/[ice]%20tall%20grass.png) @Zarkaus: > i think you doing nicely :3 iso tiles are great and nice for detail. :3 most ppl do it in 3d tho now XD. then rip images. or use a 3d tile input map editor and render. :3 still nice work keep improving!! I don't think that would give me desired effects, plus, I have a lot of fun making iso art for my game, and I would hate to destroy the feel of the whole game by having some structures the way you mentioned, while having structures that can't go through that process have a completely different look.
  7. sorry for double post: Ill be updating in the next two days, im not busy anymore so i can return to trying my hand at pixel art again
  8. Im using paint, and its been a while think ill get back into iso pixel art, been kinda busy
  9. @Peteyyy: > Why are your tiles so big? as crazy as it may seem, I have them large as the system I'm going to use will tile the ground on a separate tiling system, at least that's the plan for now. if I decide this looks bad with the graphics and the size of the graphics ill change it, its to help further eliminate the grid by having walking animations and objects run on a smaller tiling system then the ground
  10. @blkcrow: > actually Jaiden is right it doesnt have to be realistic. i just think that texture is important when you want to make good pixel art but thats just my opinium. well i am not into this art stuff > > XP anyway you probably havent understand a thing i said with my crap english > btw you are pretty good at eliminating the grid. overal i think you are prety good for a beginer Thanks for the positive comment, I have no problem understanding you. ;D
  11. @blkcrow: > i have said that again but… your texture is only dots not realistic at all try making weird shapes and stuff like that and see how it looks …, I got to be honest I just now noticed your post, and its a type of texture its own, i'll be trying my hand at other textures but its a place to start, you dont start building an empire if you dont have a town. (lol horrible saying)
  12. @Bret: > The shadows on your fences are all over the place. You should try to make them more consistent, because right now it looks like you have 5 suns. I noticed and fixed this, i'll update post later.
  13. @Ytsorf: > neither, add more contrast between your colors. Make your lighter ones lighter and your darker ones darker. Okay, i'll start on that in the morning.
  14. @Crest: > looks good but the green stuff look a little off on the colors dependent on how your lighting is if you like brighter maps i suggest bringing the color a tad bit brighter Thanks for the comment, I am still improving it on the side, so for now see that as an attempt
  15. @Ytsorf: > still needs more texture. Give it a tiny bit more contrast and It'll be better. so what should have more light colors or dark colors?
