It aims to make significant changes to the ORPG scene, incorporating new features and technology, while retaining nostalgic gameplay from some of the most popular titles in video game history._ [The full topic for Elandor Chronicles can be viewed here](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/130412-elandor-chronicles/) As an aim to speed up development for Elandor Chronicles, as well as get new ideas and assets from the community, I'll be requesting and **paying for your contributions** to the game! Keep an eye on this topic, as requirements might change, or new pixel art might be needed! **What do I need?** **I currently do not need any more help on assets for Elandor Chronicles.** ~~The content will be for the first release of Elandor Chronicles, which has a level cap of only 10\. Thus, the content should be fitting for the first 10 levels of player content. This means that I won't have any items like iron platemail for the first release. The most powerful items available to a level 10 character who for example has focused in strength, might be a simple suit of light chainmail, or a thick leather breastplate. I'll provide my progress so you can get a feel for the style, and what has already been done. Chestgear and legging icons are all front on, use a low amount of colors, and have a dark exterior outline. I recently saved over my color palette, so in preperation to this topic I've only so far recreated it in half, and without too much organisation. Nonetheless, the palette should help you, and be used closely to keep a simular style. You are welcome however to add your own colors to the palette if you feel you need to. There is still a handful of different shades I haven't made or utilised yet. When adding your own colors, keep simular contrast levels and such where applicable.~~ [image removed] ~~Here are some examples of chestgear I have worked on. I'd also like to note that armor is primarily in 3 different categories, 'strength', 'speed', and 'magic'. By first release, I'm hoping to have an equal amount of each, so that no matter what the player's build is, they will have a large and even amount of armor to find, use, loot, etc.~~ [image removed] ~~I've only started leggings, here is a preview of one I have worked on, and one an Eclipse Member (Dash) has done. Don't forget to be creative! Leggings shouldn't be limited to pants, but instead include other leggings including tunics.~~ [image removed] **What am I paying?** Elandor Chronicles to date is a low budget title, so instead of seeking to contract professionals and pay based on an hour rate, I'll be offering a fixed price per sprite. Payment will be between 50c to $1 per icon. Each icon is only 16x16 however, so it could be quite fun, and easy to work on. Due to my own financial conditions, I can't offer any higher so negotiation will be out of the question. Payment will be scaled accordingly, a simple pair of pants I would offer approximately 50c, while some of the nicer armors I'd be able to offer a bit higher (up to $1). Hopefully if your interested and can work fast, you'll be able to accumulate some decent payment, while I'd be able to speed up development. A typical icon sheet in my game is about 8x8 icons. Completing a full one should return about $40 or $50\. I'd imagine most intermediate pixel artists will be able to finish one 16x16 icon per 5 minutes maximum, which would earn up to $12 an hour. **How to submit?** Artists may either submit their productions to this topic, or to me by personal message. Payment all comes down to whether or not I will use it in Elandor Chronicles. I do expect some offers from members of the community which will submit art which is not favourable to me, and I will have to give them the bad news that I won't be using it nor paying for it. If you do submit various icons which I am happy with, then I will make the forementioned payment via paypal. Please either message me your paypal address, or post it in the topic with your submission. If you post it in the topic, please add some symbols like '$' or something to your address so that it isn't discovered by spam bots. Posting your email address in public on the internet can cause some spam bots and sniffers to find it and add it to an email listing to send you spam or hoaxes. **Conditions** **1**. It must be original and developed by you. No plagiarism. **2**. It must follow my requirements, please be sure to read the entire topic to make sure you don't make a simple mistake. **3**. Submissions must be made for Elandor Chronicles only. Once payment is processed, I expect the art to only be used in my game. **4**. If I don't like it, I won't pay for it and I won't use it.   4. Thanks guys, and Synergy I'll tweak the contrast to fix it. It definately is easier to look at though in 200% which is the zoom I intend the game to be defaultly played at.
  5. Definately not an improvement imo. The low-res version looks better and shows much better shading, line art and form.

The reason for this decision is so that players who primarily spend attribute points in speed should have a very equal amount of weapons to use in comparison to other build types.

  12. I could barely tell what it is until I read the description. The first and foremost problems are disproportions and incorrect anatomy. Second it's so noisy and messy.
  13. Using the fonts you've chosen with the effects and the style makes your game look cheap. Aim for something both more legible and not so 'stylish'. You don't have to use the same font for every button, interface and text field/chat.

  16. Your 14, don't unrealistically set your game's project scope and goal so high. Learn to mess around in paint or something, or just use RMXP like everyone else so that you can learn and practice.
  17. I prefer 2\. Allow people to change their zoom, without increasing how much they can see. So if they want to be zoomed far out, their window size would be much smaller.

There will instead be original animals, perhaps some which have simular qualities or visuals of some popular rpg animals such as the wolf and bear.
  19. Got a new full time job. Will be putting away cash to help fund this game. Of course the downside is I'll have somewhat less time to work on my game, until I convert to part-time late feburary. In an update, got a huge original bestiary in development! Elandor Chronicles won't have the typical and overused bears, wolves and orcs, but instead a vast array of completely original creatures and critters.

  22. Perfect timing actually, I thought I had a track for the coastal zone in Elandor Chronicles, but I didn't. I whipped up one myself but unfortately it's quite pales in comparison to your work. I'd love to make another request if possible… **Sedon Reef****- MIDI** Sedon Reef is the northern shores and coastal zone in the starting province. It's a wilderness area, which various critters and creatures. Primarily Sedon Reef consists of sandy beaches, winding rocky passages and cavern structures, and it also includes a man-made dock. The level-zone of this area is low to moderate. Since the area is not a safe zone or settlement, I'd like it if you tried to not make it sound too 'hawaian' or anything, so limit instruments like steel drums. The tempo would ideally be moderate to slow. Thanks Clark. The track will loop.
