  1. Undertale was made with Game Maker. At its core, Undertale is a pretty simple game that simply stores a lot of detail about what the player has done. Overall, I wouldn't think too hard about what to use and just get on with picking and getting something done.
  2. To get players playing it, it needs to actually be…up. Uniqueness be damned. If nothing else is around, you win by default.
  3. Was the cancerous title really necessary? Well, suppose I better answer what I've watched recently now that I'm here… EDIT: decided to decorate a bit. Some recently watched series: **Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars)** ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/14lmb651h5ZFKM/giphy.gif) Pretty good series based on cooking. The main character enters an elite cooking school where very few graduate, and many are expelled on a frequent basis. Pretty good, likable (or at least, develops the ones you don't like) characters, and pretty good flow. Episode 1 has an over-the-top fanservice-y scene that drives away most people but I promise the rest of the episodes never quite hit that again. 8/10 - rewatching. **Prison School** ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/CGT4QAecso9fW/giphy.gif) er…well, 18+. The pretense is completely ridiculous (5 boys get locked up in a school prison for peeping. To make it better, there are 1,000 girls to 5 boys in this school. Yes it's strange). Completely perverted (especially practically every scene where 2 specific characters interact). For how disturbing it is, it was oddly funny at some points? 5/10 - not hentai (it's ecchi), but can be easily confused for hentai at multiple points (while never actually doing [ahem] anything). **Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Does Not Exist)** (yes that's the title.) ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/nlO9dihMMVe5q/giphy.gif) Also 18+. Set in a dystopian Japan where the government have introduced invasive surveillance devices that will flash for so much as saying a dirty word and have controlled media. Follows two "erotic terrorists" that aim to distribute questionable material while giving the Decency Squad a hard time. Also ecchi. 7/10 - It's bloody immature, and it was hilarious. Can't tell what's overall more disturbing, this or Prison School. I think without the scenes between 2 characters for Shimoneta and Prison School would win hands down. **Godannar** ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/9Pe8RrI2UnPxK/giphy.gif) Alien threats known as Mimetic invade Earth. Humans win. 5 years later on the wedding day of the protags, the Mimetic emerge. Has gratuitous fanservice, worse than Kill la Kill, even. 7/10 - would watch again. **Madoka Magica** ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/bDSTYI3oBoG8o/giphy.gif) Don't let the exterior disillusion you. Watch it. **Sword Art Online** ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/2Pk9newN8fkbu/giphy.gif) Starts off pretty good. Takes a super nosedive halfway into Season 1, just couldn't watch it after that. It became literal shit. First half; 6/10 - would watch again if not for disappointment that it never gets the justice it deserves Second half; 1/10 - harem trash. I will always recommend Death Parade (10/10) and Berserk (10/10). Afro Samurai (6/10), Angel Beats (4/10), Assassination Classroom (7/10), Blue Exorcist (7/10), Great Teacher Onizuka (6/10), Kill la Kill (6/10), Tiger & Bunny (6/10) all come to mind too. There's more, but I don't feel like typing anything before that. Maybe I should take the time to set up a MAL account.

  5. [Tell them to] Change your [their] DPI scaling to 96/100%. [If they don't want to change their whole system's DPI scaling, they can right click the program, click Properties, and in the Compatibility tab, check "Disable DPI Scaling".]
  6. @'Mal': > The funny thing about open source projects (Eclipse being a derivative work of Mirage) is that to sell it you must have explicit permission from ALL of it's contributors. Mirage Source is public domain, though. EDIT: Not to say anything about the state of EO's licensing.
  7. @'Mohenjo: > Might be because mp3s have a license on them so you have to do something about it to use them Bingo. To be exact, the license to use MP3 costs $2,500 per title for games that distribute more than 5,000 copies. There's also the fact that OGG usually boasts superior quality while also being generally smaller in size than MP3.
  8. I get 2,500 Cycles per Second (FPS is whatever the hell my screen refresh rate is, not what the title bar says. :>). Probably impeded by running Skype + Photoshop + qBitTorrent at the same time. Although, I'm not really sure why this is an important metric to test, all it needs to do is hit 60.
  9. Even then, 381 MB is still a ridiculous size for a Mirage game.
  10. Testimonial here: I made my payment 11 days ago for a set of 40 32x64 sprites, and finalised the commission a matter of minutes ago. Especially when compared to previous pixel artists I've worked with, the speed at which Conker works at is fast and still maintains great quality in that timeframe. Well worth the price, and I'll be sure to come again at some point in the near future.
  11. The license is attached with Eclipse Origins 2/3\. I'm not sure what there is to be ambiguous about. Anything based on EO2/3 which does not include an amended license (that doesn't violate what EO2/3's) can be assumed to have the same license as EO2/3.
  12. You need the Service Pack 6 for VB6 dependencies, which you can find here: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5721 When you download and unpack it, **run it with administrator rights**. After you install it, you will **need to download another copy of the source code**, as you will have already corrupted the one you're currently using. * * * And finally. "I'm about to find a professional in media arts or something to help me with this at like school or something like maybe a teacher or something because this is ridiculous." I'd like to point out that this is a hobbyist forum. It will take effort to get something done with this, as there are no pre-built solutions, and that's just the nature of this. I said it before, and I'll say it again: this comes off as very whiny and entitled, and it's quite rude to those who are trying to help you. While I will help and call out those who are providing incorrect support (everybody up until my last post, excluding Joyce and Mohenjo. I have reported their posts so they should be removed), I will [and have] gladly ignore[d] members that I start to find annoying.
  13. Lol, nice of you to plagiarise my 6 year old GUI.
  14. Could you post the line that it is erroring on? An overflow error means that you're using a number too high/low for the provided data type (for example, you cannot use a number higher than 255/lower than 0 with a Byte, cannot be higher than 32767/lower than -32766 with a [VB6] Integer, etc)
  15. @'MightyMiguel': > *Sigh* This is all such a pain. I wish things were easier. It is easy when you use it correctly. I understand that this is new to you, but this comes across as whiny. It failed because you didn't correctly compile it, not because it's hard to change. It's similar to what Growl says, it's File > Make .exe. You must be using Visual Basic 6 Professional or Enterprise. Portable will not compile the source code.
  16. Did you actually make an attempt to implement something like this? If no; a lesson in problem solving, as **you don't have to be a programmer to deal with this**. - I searched "Party Join". I was led to "Party_InviteDecline", but that's not quite what we want, but it seems like it logically comes from the same place as handling party creation. Let's seek that. - I looked for instanes of Party_InviteDecline. The only place I could find it was in the Server TCP module, suggesting to me it only acts on client input, so this isn't what we want. To move from here, I went back to Party_InviteDecline, and looked at the methods around it, as it's likely that something more relevant is grouped here. - Sure enough, there are a load; Party_ShareExp, Party_InviteAccept, Party_Invite, etc. A quick read through these tells me that validation occurs in Party_Invite. - Yup, we're in the right place. Now all we need to do is make an If Statement to check that the difference in level isn't greater than what you want. If it is, tell the player that, and exit the sub. That was simple. I never had to code a thing to generally figure out what to do, and the logical process makes sense to anybody who can visualise instructions (ie. every human with a functional brain, hopefully). The last step should take 4 lines tops (and that's including the End If). It doesn't take a programmer to be able to follow logic, and imagine what logically should happen. If you cannot do this, I will assume that you either never tried, or you genuinely are not capable of logical thinking. Have fun!
  17. Let me just say, Jeppe, there's more to avoiding something than just bugs. (For the record, Prospekt Source/Eclipse Advanced _is_ a buggy mess, but for the purposes of the next explanation, let's assume it's not) Its creator at the time was a rampant thief, and as a result, the engine as a whole is built on plagiarised content. I do not know what he's like to this day, but as it stands, Prospekt Source has not received an update since then to address the plagiarism. At the time that this scenario came to light, the Eclipse staff took the then stance of blacklisting support for it on Eclipse until it could fix those issues. While most of those staff that adopted that stance are no longer around, it goes without saying that the few people on this site that actually can offer support for this remember the haze surrounding Prospekt, and so will choose not to (myself included). So when I say don't use it, it's not just because it's buggy, it's also because absolutely nobody worth listening to will help you if you start having issues with it.
  18. Looks like Prospekt Source to me. I recommend you avoid it.
  19. It's been an equation since Eclipse Origins. You can find it **Server Side** in **modDatabase** inside the method **GetPlayerNextLevel**. If you reaaaaally want to make it an experience table (but why would you, when you can just produce a single formula), you could use an INI file to get the experience required for each level. Look at how GetVar is used, it's not a difficult modification to make at all.
  20. @'Kitam': > how to make loading as in EOO ? I mean the " intro" Seriously? This is somebody else's game project and your only concern is about how you can just rip something for yourself? Not even a shred of feedback or comment to offer? That's quite rude, imo.
  21. Do you have 21.png in your items folder?
  22. @'whitespirits': > Just reached 36 100x100maps Ah…I speak from experience when I say that your server _really_ will not like this. Be mindful of how you use your resources.
  23. Oh, if that's it, yeah. There should be no compatibility issue between the two.
