Winter

Dammit.  Winter is approaching.
Been FREEZING here the past few days, least to me.
I lived most my life in Oregon, I'm used to a low 50's to low 70's average tempature range, across all seasons.

Here in Pennsylvania, I'm not used to these extremes :(
I need some cocoa or somethin to warm me up!

I feel the winter is approaching because I start doing my "siesta's" again, which are only during spring and winter.

But winter? Meh, there's no snow anymore each year.

Here in Penn there is still.

However from what I've heard from people who have lived here for a long time,they used to get CRAZY snowfalls.

Last few years we had at least 2 nice ones per year, but seems to be less each year.
Which is gay, because unless its snowing there is no reason to be below 30 degrees

Yeah the cold is extremely annoying.  Yet i live in georgia, so the coldest its ever gotten down here is like the high 20s.  It rarely snows (which sucks, imo)so i love when it does.  Plus it gets us out of school, usually.

Im all screwed up… I live in the desert of sunny southern california, yet I hate the heat! Im happier when it rains, or is gloomy outside. I am a walking heater, and only wear a jacket proably like 3 times a year. If Im wearing my jacket you know its freezing outside.

Cold is better than hot. You can ALWAYS get warmer, but you cant get cooler.

Bob Dole agrees with Gwen. It definetly is easier to live in the cold than it is hot. If im cold at night, i get a blanket. If its too hot, i turn on the fan and air conditioner and wait 7 hours for the AC to take it's effect.

Even walking around.. when its freezing you can add layer upon layer of clothing to bundle up, and at least make it bearable to go outside. But when its blistering hot outside… there is only so much clothing you can take off. And even if you take off all your clothing... there isnt much else you can do.

Winter is the time for amazingly hot showers with the girlfriend, eating mountains of porridge, wrapping up in my huge sleeping-bag of a coat and just going out and enjoying myself.

I dont mind the winter, though i do hate the cold. I think hitchhiking in the snow is my biggest pet peeve.

Yeah, I prefer summer. Winter is cold and heat is 'spensive in New York. Plus I've got a little brook by my house. Summer fishin' and swimmin'.

I love snow but I hate cold, that's a love hate relationship right there lol. Up here in Michigan… The snow just gets piled on 3ft at a time, which some times still isn't enough to cancel school  :angry:

I love snow, but since I live in Mississippi we only get one snowfall every 6 years. Last year was first time i've ever enjoyed snow. The other time it snowed I was 5 and unable to understand much.

Although summers can get quite hot, atleast there is little to no humidity up here. If I would move anywhere, though, it'd probably be around the Seattle area, but I haven't been there in winter so I'm not sure. The summers there really strike a cord with my Scandinavian blood.

Really? It's a total "indian summer" here in Colorado. But they claim we could get snow by this weekend.

Its hitting the high 40's here.  Seems like summer dissapeared much faster this year.
We had alot of humid days, but didnt even hit any 100's this year.
