zade_o
both of them kinda look like a book. But ummm, I would say the 2nd one because in the 1st one it looks like you show the straps on the back of the shield that keep the shield on your arm. apf42589
@Tyr:> ya, before i read the text i thought it were books ^^> i guess u better don't use one of both, but retry… sorryLmao same thing… for shields? um are they the backs? one looks like it has a handle, if not then just put like a gold plate on the front of it this way we know it's a shield. zade_o
Also, it has a nice effect on wooden shields like that when you go to google, look up wood texture and get the wood grain pictures, and shrink them so that you can see the wood change colors etc. and fill your shield with that instead of solid brown. Lenton
The only difference between them both is just that handle thing. It was hardly worth comparing them.

king_god_killer
well…thats why im gonna retry but the reason they look like books is cause i added depth (not much though)
Dark Crusade
Obviously you don't know what depth is…
Godlord
@Kreator:> They are shields? They look more like… books or something. They even can't be called books, I call it: fail art, but that's my opinion.Regards, The Nameless One.

zade_o
I got another bit of advice if you're trying to create depth. I'm not sure what you use before…but on Photoshop CS2 I use the burn/dodge tools to put shading and highlights on art to create depth.
