Ok, I'll summarize this as simply and easily as I can, but it might still be a little complicated, and I might get some of it wrong.
Ok, we have the first, second and third dimensions in grade school. It's the dot the line, and the object (respectively)
But then we have time, the fourth dimension, and time is basically made of movement in the third dimension. The rest of the dimensions become complicated, but deal with the bending and folding of time and space to create different results (teleportation and time travel for starters) and the tenth dimension is supposedly every possible timeline represented as a dot.
