Sowtis
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but you can get a headstart from the resources on charas.Use the RMXP charasets, those are set up correctly for 3.
Homicidal Monkey
Here is an m3u example. Open with wordpad if you want to see how its structured. As of now, you can only have 1 stream per playlist. Also supports mp3 and midi formats for music.Tiles1 has an alpha channel for background color, Tiles0 uses the transparent color. Also included default font. Drummerpete
Just wondering, wouldn't it be better if it didn't support MP3, simply because you need a licence for that?

Alster
@Pete:> Just wondering, wouldn't it be better if it didn't support MP3, simply because you need a licence for that?I swear you only need a license if you play more than 100 songs…So you can pack in 100 on your best maps then fill the rest with MIDI. Patrick
> Yes. A license is needed for commercial (i.e., revenue-generating) use of mp3/mp3PRO in broadcast systems (terrestrial, satellite, cable and/or other distribution channels), streaming applications (via Internet, intranets and/or other networks), other content distribution systems (pay-audio or audio-on-demand applications and the like) or for use of mp3/mp3PRO on physical media (compact discs, digital versatile discs, semiconductor chips, hard drives, memory cards and the like).> > However, no license is needed for private, non-commercial activities (e.g., home-entertainment, receiving broadcasts and creating a personal music library), not generating revenue or other consideration of any kind or for entities with associated annual gross revenue less than US$ 100 000.00.So you don't need one. Unless you make more than one hundred thousand US dollars.
Godlord
@Frogurt:> So you don't need one. Unless you make more than one hundred thousand US dollars.Problem with that is that there are several companies owning copyright on MP3.Regards, Godlord. Drummerpete
"However, no license is needed for private, non-commercial activities (e.g., home-entertainment, receiving broadcasts and creating a personal music library), not generating revenue or other consideration of any kind or for entities with associated annual gross revenue less than US$ 100 000.00."Yeah, but that's all **personal** use. You're distributing them.
Homicidal Monkey
Its suggested that you use mp3 only in accessing from a web radio. That way you go around the copywrite issue because you are not distributing them. =D
