Xavi
Today, I decided to check up on my forum. I have not released my forum to the public… at least I thought... today I was shocked to find 7 new members! To make it even more weird, nobody has posted, or shown any real signs of activity after creating their account. To add to it even more, around 3 of these members had the signature "rest in peace", one had a signature "ken", and yet another had a signature "buy generic pills online". :huh:I have never owned a forum, so honestly, I have no idea what to do. Should I delete these accounts? Should I try to contact them? Thanks in advance.-XaviEdit: It is an SMF forum, by the way.

Xavi
But how would spam bots find my forum, and why would they try to spam a forum that has no community?
Drummerpete
Because that's what they are programmed to do.they go on all new forums.

Xavi
@Jna:> Basically all forums get spammed at sometime.Alright then…This is making me curious about how spam bots work, and why they don't spam right after their account is created...ima have to do some research.
