kanechart
Full 10 page tile set that's legal for non commercial use and full credits.I read I can't public my game since its using tile sets that can't be legally used. So I would like to know if anyone's compiled a set or not.

The graphics are meant to be used only with the rpg maker engine and are not to be used else were. We do not give you permission to use such materials because we do not have it. The graphics provided in the tilesets are meant only to be templates and give you an idea of what good 2d tilesets should look like. balliztik1
Commercial or not, those graphics are available only through licensing. Sure, they likely **won't** do anything, but they **can**, as that is a breach of the terms of service for RMXP.As for MP3s, it's the same way. You may only distribute 2500 copies, no matter what, commercial or no.

balliztik1
Or some Ogg Vorbis support. That'd be nice. It's basically the same, except free licensing. IDK why it's not used more. I don't know much about it though, but meh.
kanechart
It's almost near mp3 compression I think. I see no reason not to support it :)
Robin
Brave Bandit and Ninja-Tech, how about you try and understand copyright law before spurting that bullshit?
MikeyB2k9
@Kanõ:> Full 10 page tile set that's legal for non commercial use and full credits.> > I read I can't public my game since its using tile sets that can't be legally used. So I would like to know if anyone's compiled a set or not.Unless the tilesets absolutely shiz then it wont be free. Everything out there has a copyright. For the right offer I would sit down and do you some tilesets that would be LEGALLY yours. But unfortunately, things in life cost. As time spent is money lost, so therefore time = money. No one will giveup their time for free (Not enough for 10 tilesheets)However, Regarding the "Tilesets". As long as you give full credit to the owners of them, and never charge for your game, then if they we're to take a serious disliking to it then they would only stand a chance "Legally" in court if you we're earning money from it.However, there are loop holes in the earning money bit :) as if any money coming in is outgoing on server costs and other such-forth things, then the game is not "Earning" and you never make a person pay for a game :) you give them the "donation" option ;)Remember, there's Legal and then there's, "Legal" ;)Anyways, if you are seriously considering a commercialisation of your game, then you really want your own custom tilesets that you legally own the copyright to.I can and would do that for you, but again, it wouldn't be free, but I could do them for a reasonable and competitive price.Let me know by PM,

Everything out there has a copyright.Everything might have a copyright, but not everything has a license fee. The highly praised tilesets by The Inquisitor have a very lenient ToS. All he asks is that you sign up at the site to download it.Most of the time, though, it's true that people don't like to work for free, so a quality tileset will cost you. However, there are exceptions, as you can find.
