Evolution of My Rockman

I got bored today and wanted to try pixel art once more. Here is my attempt at a rockman/golem.

I think I can notice I little difference in the colouring around the stomach!

Through it, I added shading, took away corners on lines, changed stances, and added lots of new colors. It kinda hard to see when small. Ill try to enlarge it a bit.

Well, if that is the 100% size, maybe you should add more contrast and make sure your changes are visible, else they could as well not have been changed.

I tried, but it looked sorta ugly. Ill try again.

Also, what palettes do you recommend?

The brown makes it look like a Golem made of Crap, switch to gray.
Arms are way too short, and legs should be spread apart so we can tell they're are legs.
Torso, definitely needs a good reworking.

Your colors need more contrast. They're all too similar, so it makes it look like a gradient. Try using a dark brown instead of black for the body. Black outlines are fine (my fav).
