I think that looks more natural. If anything, change the greenery. Not sure if all those plants would survive in a location so close to the beach. Haha. I would save those "puurty" flowers for a meadow or field.EDIT: From looking at the picture, IDK about the perspective of the water. If the tiles are the water coming over the sand, then the edge is fine. However, if it is the sand meeting up with the water, you need to rid the sand of the edge.Also, I think the grass may need another shade in between what there is now and the sand. Solstice Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 I very much like the mockup, however it looks a tad too plain.You can fix this by detailling the current tiles a bit more, and also adding shadows.If you notice the tree does have shading on the trunk, however the shading doesn't extend to the ground. If you take a look at the RPGMXP trees, they have shadows that extend and cover the floor.And so it is with all well drawn tiles.:PEDIT:I went back to page 2 and noticed you have detailed the trees more, very nicely done, I can see a sort of style for the game emerging from that detailling. - I still think the ground needs shadows. (:Also replying to a comment from page one: The overgrown grass looks like a weaved basket, perhaps squash it down as was suggested on page 1.
