Google additive and substractive mixing in relation to color :

people see color in either of these two ways and it accoutns for people seeing this image in two different ways:

If your eye is trained enough you can see things in both additive and subtractive colors. I can see this dress in both white and gold and blue and black if I will it either way

Here is the dress with fixed exposure. It is blue and black, it even says it on amazon.

yeah its blue and black with the filter up super high to the point that the light makes it seem white to "additive vision" people. As explained in my post above

Also notice how the color blue is actually part of the color white for additive people. (People who see the dress white)

Where the color white for subtractive vision people isn't comprised of blue at all. (People who see the dress blue)
