Colonello
Seeing as how this has taken the internet by a storm I figured Eclipse should have it's own topic about it too. So what color is the dress? (I see black and blue)![](http://fm.cnbc.com/applications/cnbc.com/resources/files/2015/02/27/1425008415925855.jpg)

Ancient
Not here guys, this thing is all over my facebook and everywhere else, lets keep eclipse sane lol. Its a simple optical illusion of increasing the filter on the lens!
Ancient
Google additive and substractive mixing in relation to color :people see color in either of these two ways and it accoutns for people seeing this image in two different ways:![](https://www.e-education.psu.edu/geog486/sites/www.e-education.psu.edu.geog486/files/image/L01_fig30.gif)If your eye is trained enough you can see things in both additive and subtractive colors. I can see this dress in both white and gold and blue and black if I will it either way
Jumbofile
Here is the dress with fixed exposure. It is blue and black, it even says it on amazon.![](http://puu.sh/gf9OH/ac6efe2999.png)![](http://static1.businessinsider.com/image/54f0924f6bb3f76362cb7819-1029-772/amazon-dress.png)Now lets get this thread in the board of shame lol
Ancient
yeah its blue and black with the filter up super high to the point that the light makes it seem white to "additive vision" people. As explained in my post aboveAlso notice how the color blue is actually part of the color white for additive people. (People who see the dress white)Where the color white for subtractive vision people isn't comprised of blue at all. (People who see the dress blue)
