It looks pretty stupid with how you used some kind of perspective with the first plane and just slapped some flat stuff in the back.

Unprofessional, bland and doesn't really work as a logo.

But more artsy often means more memorable.  It doesn't have to be artsy, but it at least has to be creative and look better.

Actually, in some cases I don't think it matters.  If you're at a store, you can look at the logo and see the name AND the picture.  I do agree that for the internet the name needs to be memorable however.
