JeffSventora
I wanted to make a simple yet effective logo for a game that I am making. It's representing a team name for my group. I made it in Photoshop using a lot of shapes and Gradients. What do you think?
Byson
ooooh, very atmospheric. I like it, the general idea of the word/name back alley is to incorporate the idea of long term hiding, thus the darness and the moon are used fantastically in that respect
Kusy
It looks pretty stupid with how you used some kind of perspective with the first plane and just slapped some flat stuff in the back.Unprofessional, bland and doesn't really work as a logo.more like this![](http://i1001.photobucket.com/albums/af140/kusygames/backalley.png)
IdoFreePixel
You could try doing something fancy with the text, for example, you could try having it written on the ground going backwards.
Strafe
The text and the moon don't fit, open up Illustrator and make it all that hip new vector style, don't have mixed styles in a splash screen it's like tileset mixing - the bad kind.@KUSY did you draw that? if so I love it

Jeff
it's just a bunch of colored shapes representing a back alley. There's no real art to it, and it'll be out of peoples head the second they see it. Get something more interesting, more artsy, and bolder. Kusy
Logo doesn't have to be artsy, it should be memorable.
Byson
Whole point of a logo is the name…..putting anything flashy with it would mean people are more likely to remember the flashy images rather than the name. Just build around the logo name as your forefront
Jeff
@Kusy:> Logo doesn't have to be artsy, it should be memorable. But more artsy often means more memorable. It doesn't have to be artsy, but it at least has to be creative and look better.@Byson:> Whole point of a logo is the name…..putting anything flashy with it would mean people are more likely to remember the flashy images rather than the name. Just build around the logo name as your forefrontActually, in some cases I don't think it matters. If you're at a store, you can look at the logo and see the name AND the picture. I do agree that for the internet the name needs to be memorable however.

Robin
Text effects are half-arsed and ugly, the background looks like a rush job for a half-second shot in flash.Don't make a splash screen. You should never have a splash screen. Make a new logo which is actually a logo, not just some text.
