The top of the head isn't very smooth, but other than that I would say fix the colours for now.
I was attempting to make one for you but I gave up.

Your legs are stuck together, your hands are in front of the body, your heads are extremely lopsided, and they have no ears. Parts of your sprite are pillow shaded, and parts of it aren't. Wing's example is something you should probably take inspiration from. The only crit I have on his is that the body is a little thick, and that isn't really much of a problem.

I'm going to go practice shading like that, it's something I've been trying to do for a while now.

The underwear is too bright. The line art looks fine except for the top of the head looks a bit too jagged and the line in between the ear and the face needs to go (on front view only, back view it looks fine). A bit more shading work here and there and you should be good.

Actually, it matters _a lot_. Rendering in powers of two (1x1, 2x2, 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, etc.) is faster than rendering in not power-of-two (NPOT). Some graphics cards don't support NPOT texturing period, so you'll get weird artifacts.

It's absolutely OK to just put it on a bigger sprite sheet though without changing anything.

Yeah, on my computer graphics like that get fucked up in-game. Just make it 64x64.

Most females have deeper curves on the sides than males, and have a smaller build.

I`ll put a picture that consists of two differently styled sprites I`ve made

Notice how the female in both styles can be easily told apart from the male? Right now both your sprites are equal except for what under garments they wear, but you can easily change that by making the girl have a smaller and more feminine build.

Yumi, I don't think you're listening. FIX THE LOPSIDED HEAD. The sideways sprite is even worse. It looks like a potato. A really, really, really fucked up potato. Also, your females are the exact same thing as your males. The body is also very large in proportion to the head.

The head on Yumi's sprite needs to be more smooth.
